Rustic And Rural Retreats

Lovely, peaceful and romantic spot. Perfect for a simple getaway. The hut was clean and well fitted out. Fab shower too. Simon was an excellent host - recommended!

When we arrived, we were greeted by a lovely meadow, with an amazing view that cannot be matched anywhere else. It was stunning. We then let ourselves into the hut to see it was sparkling clean, with not even a spec of dust! Using the provided firepit, we cooked steak and mashed potato, and ate outside with, again, one of the most beautiful views of the rolling hills of Devon. As the night began to set in, we watched the stars from the incredible panoramic window, trying to spot the constellations (even though we didn’t know any!) In the morning, we witnessed the sunrise from the window with a hot cup of tea, whilst listening to the birds chirp and trees rustling. I would live here if I could! I will definitely be coming back soon!

The Shepherds hut was a beautiful retreat, not far from popular Devon attractions and beautiful beaches. The hut was so cosy, the comfiest bed I have ever slept in and the lake was a peaceful backdrop. I just wish I had booked more than 2 nights! The hot tub was a novel experience. Simon, his Dad and Willow (the cat!) we’re welcoming hosts. Would really recommend a visit to get away from the busy Devon hotspots!

A beautiful shepherds hut in a stunning spot! Lovely tranquil area in nature. Would happily stay again and will be recommending to everyone.

We stayed for a delightful long weekend at the Shepherd's Hut near Parkham. Weather was not the best, but our stay was wonderful anyway.Beautiful little hut, nicely appointed- it was great waking up in the morning and popping the water on for tea/ coffee with just the birds for company!Clean and tidy, everything we needed. Would love to return if we get the chance!

The most beautiful huts in the most stunning locations. The areas are totally tranquil and the perfect escape back to nature. I’ve never felt so relaxed and calm as I did when I stayed here. The huts are extremely well built with everything you could possibly need, as well as a fire pit so that you can have a BBQ outside and then roast marshmallows while the sun is setting. They’re both close to the beach for an ice cream and you can even attempt surfing and kayaking in the waves. The perfect getaway. I stayed at the first one and had to book another trip back to stay at the second and I’ll definitely be coming back again. The host Simon is extremely friendly and very helpful and replied to my messages very quickly. I would highly recommend to anyone that needs some time away to destress and relax. Honestly staying here was better than I ever could have imagined and I can’t wait to come back.

Amazing stay at this sheppard hut in Devon! Panoramic views of the meadow with big bright windows so watch the sunrise or stars at night. The hut was super cosy and clean, only less than 30 mins from Bude (north cornwall) and Bideford. Campsite staff were friendly and offered great recommendations. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone. We might book again for the windier to make use of the log burner and cosy nights. Linh

Had a most wonderful weekend at Woolfardisworthy, the scenery is picturesque, and the hut is awesome!, its really cosy with the log burner on, has all the amenities you need.Would highly recommend!

Very well presented shepherds hut. The views are lovely and it is blissfully quiet. It was great to be off the grid for 24 hours with no TV. Come rain or shine you’ll love your stay! Super cosy and romantic. Simon was a great host.
