Thank you so much Graham, Paula and the staff for looking after us on Saturday. The restaurant is spotless and was perfect for our party of 28. The fish and chips were absolutely delicious , best fish and chips I’ve had in a long time . We ll definitely be back

Stephenson’s Market Plaice
I visited Crook on Friday 23rd December on business and wanted somewhere to have lunch. Walking past Stephenson's on the market square I initially thought it was just a fish and chip shop, however, on entering I found that it also had a restaurant up a short flight of stairs. The upper space was modern and super clean. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The menu was very good a little something for everyone. I ordered fish and chips and I have to say, hand on heart, they were the best fish and chips I have eaten. I would defo recommend this restaurant.

This is the greatest Fish & Chips I’ve ever had! Absolutely heaven. We were recommended by a local and it did not disappoint. Can’t wait to come back again.

Pathetically tiny portion and I'd ordered large, it twas obviously turned down by a previous customer as it was also pre wrapped why ? I've never come across this before , the food here is of a high quality although Ive always found the measly amount of chips tendered off-putting , I refused to be served a toddlers portion size , even smaller than usual in fact I've never in my 65 years of using chip shops nationwide been given a prewrapped portion.I'll not risk using this shop again.

Absolutely delicious. Had a family pre wedding get together and everything was fabulous. Food was amazing, restaurant was modern and clean, not after we left though. Staff were very friendly and efficient nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend.

Stephenson’s Market Plaice
Had the pleasure of trying Stephenson's Market Plaice yesterday. We enjoyed it so much that we wanted to leave a review as soon as possible.You have the option of taking away, or eating in. We ate in - within the restaurant located upstairs, which is nicely decorated and very clean.The young man who served us was friendly and polite. Our drinks and food came quickly and looked amazing.Two of my party went for traditional Cod & Chips, with myself going for the 'whopper' size. There is definitely a huge difference, so if you do want to get the large size, make sure you have room!Overall, we could not rate this restaurant highly enough. We will certainly return the next time we are in the area.

Crispy chips light batter chunky Cod. Really good fish and chips. I will definitely go back. Definitely some of the best I have had.
