Brilliant few hours with Andy at the Taster session making a bottle opener. It was a gift experience for my Dad and we both enjoyed it greatly. Andy is clearly passionate about what he does, a great teacher and was happy to answer all our questions about blacksmith work. Great fun activity and highly recommend!

A brilliant experience and a pleasure to work with Andy the superhost :) Made my first blacksmithing tools this week and although I had my doubts as to how well I'd do, Andy was there to 'redirect' my less than successful attempts back on track and together we produced some excellent tools for life. Well recommended, if you can get a slot booked in, do it!

Booked the 2 hour taster session with Andy for me and my 2 boys aged 16 & 10. We all had a great time. Andy was so patient with us all, explaining everything we needed to do. Helped us throughout but also allowed us lots of opportunities to work on our objects independently. He allowed the boys to make different things. My 10 year old made a hammer and is absolutely delighted with what he made. Showing it off to friends and family. I had to draw the line at him asking it to school......My 16 year old made a knife/letter opener and despite him being a typical teenager who was moaning at having to go in the first place, admitted to enjoying he day and wanting to go back.I would thoroughly recommend trying out Feather Forge if you want to have a go at something different and feel a sense of achievement in making something from what starts out as a lump of steel. Thanks Andy for a really enjoyable morning. It's something that we all want to do again.Liz

So I Lucky enough to experience the 3 day Damascus blade making course which was knackering but amazing.Andy was an amazing tutor and is well as showing you exactly what to do he also let you get on with it without looking over your shoulder every 5 minutes .I would recommend this course to anyone whether you are just starting or whether you're an expert or think you are this was my 1st ever Blade and I couldn't be happier. Thanks again Andy awesome time.

Just spent 3 days with Andy on a Damascus blade course. Andy is a great teacher and both of us on the course have a great time and made fantastic looking blades. He had a very sensible approach to running the course under the current Covid restrictions. I would very thoroughly recommend this course to anyone who is interested in trying out knife making and is willing to put in a bit of effort. We started with a welded up billet of steel and finished up with set of gorgeous looking blades. If you are thinking about doing this course then stop thinking about it and get yourself booked on.

Andy (and his dog Finn) was fantastic. Absolutely great day with quality tools and left with some awesome items that I've made. Would recommend to anyone with even the slightest interest in Blacksmithing or metal work. Thanks Andy!

Had a fantastic time in the forge with Andy making a knife. It's a great way to learn the basics of blacksmithing. He guides you along while letting you work away. Highly recommended if you're interested in metalwork or just fancy an activity day.

Had an excellent day at Andy's sgian dubh class! Due to COVID our booking was held off for nearly a year and a half, but we kept contact and finally paid a visit to Feather Forge where it was completely worth the wait. Andy was an excellent teacher and now I've got a lifelong keepsake! Hopefully will be back behind the anvil soon ⚒
