Wigwam Holidays Charnwood Forest

Wow just wow!!! Amazing location perfect for a weekend getaway. The whole site beautifully landscaped and the pods have their own personalitys the way they are set up. We stopped in the Willow pod which was immaculate and sheltered with trees which gave us alot of privacy.Thanks to Clare and Steve who were very welcoming and took care of the hottub keeping it warm for us while we were out exploring the area.

Just arrived home from our weekend away at Wigwam holidays Charnwood Forest.I've never stayed in a more beautiful place, the wigwams are beautiful, clean and fully equipped and are set within the most stunning area.You can do has little or has much has you desire, the village of Newton Linford is a nice walk away where you will find lovely dog friendly pubs and tea rooms aswell has a fabulous park which on a warm day you can spend the whole day exploring, and letting the children paddle in the water. In the other direction is Markfield where you will find a coop for essentials and have the choice of a few takeaways.Claire and Steve at the site were very welcoming and very knowledgeable about the local area they offered advise which helped us plan out our stay.We had the most wonderful stay with or 2 little girls and our dog.Thank you.x

What an amazing experience! Upon arrival we was greeted by clare, she gave us the tour and showed us how to use the hot tub etc. Lovely clean cabin, everything you need for your stay. The grounds are beautiful and tranquil. We was lucky that our cabin was by the field with the horses in, when in the hot tub, which we spent many hours in, the horses were great entertainment, watching them play and run around, you can tell they're very well looked after. Plenty of wood and kindling for the fire pit and hot tub. The honesty shed is an amazing touch. Thankyou to steve for coming to check in on is to make sure we was okay and if we had everything we needed. Plenty of walks to do around the grounds. If your looking for a near by pub with food, highly recommended The Griffin Inn"

Just home from our wonderful stay at Charnwood. Cannot thank Clare and Steve enough for their warm friendly welcome. The cabins were spotless and well equipt. The surroundings were lovely and tranquil, with the woodland and central pond. We got to enjoy the magic of outdoor living with some home comforts. Extra thank you for having the hottub warmed and ready to go on our arrival. See you soon

I'll start with the negatives... lack of mop and bucket... that's it lol..Amazing location, easy to access, extremely clean and well thought out lay out, you really do feel secluded yet you can get takeaways delivered!Horses are a nice touch and friendly, unefected by the dogs barking.Wood etc is easily accessible 24/7The stove is actually good but we bbq'd all nights but one..The shower pressure is amazing.. and the cabin gets and stays surprisingly hot with the heater for a cozy night in and the double doors open fully, with the window at the back the breeze is amazing!!The cabin is small but has 2 double beds and a deck as big as the cabin, it's amazing to have a coffee on that in the morning with the fresh air and horses in the back ground sat with the dogs.. I miss it already!If you want to put a smile on your partners face, get the hot tub cabin!

Amazing, would definitely recommend, especially to couples! Everything was just as described and very peaceful and clean, the area was well looked after and felt very private, most importantly the owners Clare and Steve were very attentive and welcoming, which really added to our trip. There’s lots of lovely places to visit nearby and the surroundings had a really nice feel to them! We went for my partners birthdays and Clare made it so special for us..Would definitely return :)

Stayed here in August in the Holly Lodge, it was in the most peaceful location the lodge was immaculate.Clare & Steve were so friendly and accommodating.We loved the place so much we will be returning atleast once a year for piece of heaven.

My fiance and I stayed here for 3 days as it was her birthday week and everything about it was absolutely perfect. Clare was so welcoming and very helpful with everything we needed. The surrounding area and woodland walks are fantastic, we brought our dog and he also loved every second of it! We will definitely be staying here again.

Just returned from a two night stay with my partner for our anniversary and we loved it! The wigwam was very clean and cosy. The facilities were great. Unfortunately it rained most of the weekend so didn’t get a chance to light the fire but will definitely be returning in the warmer months to give it a go! The area is lovely and quiet but there are still some great pubs not far away that you can get food and drinks at. Would definitely recommend!

We had the most amazing stay at Charnwood Forest. Steve greeted us and showed us around, even though we were later than expected Steve took the time to share recommendations with us and where we could go with our puppy.Clare come to see us when passing the following day and was helpful sharing recommendations and that our puppy was allowed to go in the pond.We loved our stay in the Chestnut they really go the extra mile with finishing touches such as having soap in the dispenser in the bathroom. The honesty shed was so handy being able to get fire wood when needed.Our puppy enjoyed it even more than us. She even took it upon herself to make it known it was her holiday whilst relaxing on the sun lounger! Thank you both for such a great stay would totally recommend so much to do in the area with dogs too!
