Argos Monks Cross (Inside Sainsbury's)

Arrived at the Argos today within Sainsbury’s this morning 28/06/22 and was greeted by the most unhelpful, miserable young lady I have ever had to deal with - infact I wasn’t greeted, I had to seek her help. All I wanted was a bit of help with ordering something and the customer service I received from her was abysmal. How she got the job at Argos to start with I do not know, it’s probably not a career for her but it doesn’t hurt to be kind to customers or even crack a smile every now and again. I work in the retail industry and this is absolutely NOT how you speak to/treat customers. Retraining is maybe needed, we all have off days, I’m also having some recently but when it comes to work you have to put your customer service face on. Unhelpful and will never step foot in the store again.

Great customer service experience from the staff at Argos Monks Cross, especially from their Manager, John. Professional, coutious and friendly. A minor stocking/product quality issue was dealt with perfectly.

Very helpful service today from a young man with pink hair didn't get his name. Helped us order on Tuesday from two different places then today helped us to the car and load two awkward boxes into the car.

A big Thank you to Jason (says on the receipt, hope that's correct) for his help this morning with me placing an order for home delivery, using gift cards to pay and collecting a fair few bits previously ordered. He was friendly, helpful and calm. Excellent customer service! I usually shop at Clifton Moor store but will have to use this store now that one has closed. A very good first experience. Thank you.

The manager(John)is a rude ,arrogant and argumentative individual who clearly needs retraining on how to deal with the public.

Very disappointed of Argos. Went last Saturday to buy a fridge, took my money, paid the full cost of the fridge by card being told that they will deliver on the next Wednesday but Tuesday I’ve received a text that my order is no been generated and I will have my money back within 5 working days! Went in store again and besides that none for the manger couldn’t bordered to pick up the phone because she said” we are to busy sometimes “, what busy I couldn’t not see any costume when I went back!Anyway she was totally useless and trying to blame the main warehouse but not solutions where founded, in the meantime I have been left without fridge and money! Poor customer service! Poor management! I Never will buy again from Argos!

Amazing service at this Argos. Served by a young guy (didn't get his name) but made the whole process really simple and accessable. Would absolutely go back. Wish I could give more than 5 stars.

Bought a Lego switch game as part of a pack. Would not return it due to the game not having wrapping on it. The game was in a box with a case so it would not have. I asked them to open on on shelf to check and they refused. Then they told me to contact Argos online. They said it could not be returned as it is a digital download but that is not mention in the returns policy. They agreed that is was not but still would not accept any responsibility so just kept the money and now we have a game that is useless. Really need to looks at returns policy on the website as it does not line up with what is in the product description. The code never worked so I think it was probably a return from before that someone used.

So today on Wednesday 28th December I called Sainsbury's so I could get through and talk too a person in Argos as I wanted too know if a blue duvet with PlayStation logos could be sent tooYork from Ripon but no it could not and if your lucky enough too live in Ripon then it would be nice and easy but if you do not and none of these duvets are available with PlayStation logos in our area ie then you cannot purchase it.
