I have used P Blackhall Ltd for boiler services a few times over the years. I found them to be really friendly and helpful going out of their way to help me out when I’d left it quiet late in the day to book my annual gas safety inspection. Our tenants confirmed they were also efficient, professional and friendly during the inspection.Yesterday (Saturday evening) I also had to contact their out of hours service as our tenants had reported issues with their heating. Gavin offered to make a call to our tenants initially to see if he could assist over the phone. He made the call then called me straight back and thankfully he was able to assist with a temporary fix over the phone to see the tenants over the weekend. I would highly recommend and will definitely be using them again.

Hired them for a job which costed 25% more than originally quoted. After they carried out PAT testing of a washing machine, it flooded our flat before the job was completed. Remedial work or fair compensation was not offered. Better to avoid.Added after PBlackhall's response:The flooding was caused by the machine PBlackhall used. The device has worked flawlessly before and after the incident. The flooding damage exceeded £1500, I requested a fair compensation of £192 for cleaning our property and reconnecting the machine backed by receipts. The total cost of PBlackhall's awful job exceeded £2000.

We'd just moved into a new property and the previous owners had recommended Blackhall who had installed and serviced the boiler for them. The boiler was in need of a service and there was a problem with the cold water tank that needed looking at. Was able to get an appointment booked in and Ryan attended to see to the work. Not only was he both very friendly and professional through out and thorough in the work, he had endless patience for my wide variety of questions. This covered not only the heating system as it was, but also on improvements we could make in future. More than happy to recommend Blackhall and will definitely continue to use them in future.

As ever, I am delighted with the service P Blackhall provide. They fixed a major electrical issue in our flat, as well as tackling several smaller jobs. Both the office staff and the electrician who did the job were professional, friendly and courteous. The work was undertaken quickly, to a great standard and charged very fairly. A great company to hire.

First class service. Proper plumbers and heating engineers who know what they are doing and do it professionally, efficiently and cost effectively. Can’t thank them enough.

We had what can only be described as a persistent issue with one radiator in our home, several plumbing company's were tasked with resolving it and all failed completely. We then spoke with Blackhall Plumbing, the team persevered and the cause was uncovered (which was bizarre to say the least) the system now works perfectly.I can't thank the team enough (they didn't give up, which is what it takes sometimes) they will always be my first choice.

Highly recommend this local Edinburgh company. They are very responsive via phone and email. Professional throughout and maintain a high quality of work. Very accommodating, especially if you require work done which is urgent or time sensitive. Will definitely recommend to others and will personally use P Blackhall again.

High school wynd 1 minute ago. Driver of a small van just hurtled down this narrow road whacking off my side mirror. I'm in a big van and had waited for traffic to clear before heading up there. Their idiot driver came round the corner and floored it.

Very expensive company. Ive used them when desperate" for years for my letting agency. Recently used them for an expensive repair job. The pipe connection failed within 6 months. Popped off because they left electrical tape on the joint. What kind of company doesnt clean the connection work surfaces before installing a new product??? And now they denied responsibility even when they were the last people to touch it. In my world

The company charged 125 pounds for the engineer to come and turn off a switch, because his car was parked “on the site” for three minutes more than the first thirty minutes. Extremely rude and aggressive when I voiced my doubt, and based on the reviews, when other people voice their criticisms, too.
