Sam has been cutting and colouring my hair for years. This was my first visit to her new salon in Llandaff North. Parking nearby was easy. And I loved the ability to book the appointment online. The whole experience was wonderful and my hair feels amazing. Thank you Sam. I'll be back soon :)

I went to this salon because of the great reviews online. Worst mistake of my life! I booked a full head of highlights and a cut. After four hours in the salon, being asked to move chairs five times, my hair is completely burned. God only knows what colouring brand they used, but my hair was bright yellow, streaky, over bleached, with about a centimetre of dark roots. The cheap bleach product also completely dried my hair out. It was in worse condition than if I’d bleached it myself at home. The hairdresser yanked the knots out with a hard plastic comb, starting from the roots. I had to ask her to be more careful, but it made no difference. Moments after leaving the salon I started to have a migraine. The cut was also awful. Uneven, all different lengths and with sharp brittle ends, as though the scissors used were bought from Asda. I was also over charged. When I went back to complain, the salon owner offered to dye my hair again - right there and then! I told her I needed time for the hair to repair, you cant just colour treat hair straight after it has been bleached. Clueless! The salon is also very dirty. Fake plants everywhere covered in thick dust. I won’t be going here again. Anyway, the next day I washed and conditioned my hair and it took over two hours to brush the knots out. My lovely long hair is completely ruined. This salon is just awful. I’ve had to book a separate appointment at a proper salon to see if they can fix the damage. I don’t care how much it costs. I want my lovely hair back

Such lovely & welcoming staff at Salon Artiste. With it being 20 months since my last visit to a hairdresser, I am really pleased with my haircut by Athena. Thanks so much and definitely would recommend.

Had a superb haircut here! Booking the appointment was so easy via the website and the appointment was lovely. I received a pot of tea, complimentary head massage and really felt like Sam took the time to understand my hair needs and gave me a great haircut that suit my face and matched the pictures I showered her.

I really love the attention to detail at this salon, they are so popular I've booked in with many of the staff over the last few years. I can't recommend the salon enough, lovely people, highly skilled and a pleasure to be there for a few hours.Such a wonderful vibe and the smell ... well it's just amazing, need to get that scent for home! And my hair ... It's never looked better!

Sam was wonderful. I literally haven’t been to a hairdresser for several years. I took my huge carpet of my locks into the salon. An hour later, she had transformed my long carpet of hair into something quite astonishing. Thankyou x

First appointment today, colour lovely, cut just right, can't ask for more than that.Small cosy local salon everyone very friendly, made to feel very welcome. Looking forward to my next appointment.

I took my daughter in for her first salon visit and what a gem we found in Salon Artiste. The Salon was beautifully presented. The staff were lovely and polite. Would recommend to anybody - One happy daughter and one happy customer. Thank you Salon Artiste for such a lovely experience.

I am not a hair salon kind of person, I was a little nervous but what a lovely experience, all the staff were lovely and Codi was fab, she really listened to what I wanted and checked every step of the way, love my new hair looking forward to my next appointment . Thank-you
