United Taxis

Reliable firm. Like most businesses they have struggled to get enough staff to cover the busy times and be there when needed when it's quiet as well. They got me back into Ashford safely and without fuss when I found myself 20 miles out of town after midnight when I missed the last train. Keep up the good work!

They are not 24hrz tried to get them at 10pm ,3am, 6am, 7am they dont pick up the phone. Wouldn't relay on them

After a disappointing experience with another taxi company, we switched to United Taxi. We used this taxi company until the end of our stay in Ashford. Josh was excellent at booking our taxis and sending the drivers on time. Thanks to him and all the other drivers we had a great experience with United taxi company. We were always on time at work. Very satisfied with this company.

UPDATE - Increased rating to 4 stars for now as they replied to my email very quickly to confirm.ORIGINAL 2 STARS - Have now called 12 times over the last 20 mins and wondering if they'll ever answer? Prebooked a taxi for this coming Wed, but the driver came last Wed so want to know if someone will still come this Wed. Not filled with confidence, but will happily change my rating if I speak to someone and get a good service. Good taxi service in Ashford seems very difficult to come by though...

Needed a trip home after midnight from the William Harvey. Just brilliant!It was a lady driver…..and such a smooth experience.I stupidly left my phone in the car and didn’t realise until gone 1am. Phoned them up and it was dropped carefully through my letter box during the night and they refused to take any remuneration for the return of it. We are in Egerton so it was way beyond the ‘call of duty’!Well done United lady driver! I was well looked after!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They charged me £120 in advance to pick up a friend of mine, didn't pick him up, kept my money, wouldn't return my calls and was incredibly rude to me whenever I got through to someone. I'll be the first to raise a glass when this company inevitably goes under.

Don't bother with this lot, most of the time they don't answer the phone and if they do you get some moron who takes your details then leaves you stranded

Horrific experience, I cried while I was forced to pay £20 for a very short 10 min journey. He said he was going to take me to the police station because I wasn’t expecting it to be that much and I didn’t have the money, and when I said how ridiculous it was and that I was going to miss my train he took me 5 minutes up the road to a cash point (without my ok, and I am a minor) and waited closely behind me while I drew out money I didn’t have. I cried, and he made me very anxious and he even locked all the doors (which is illegal) so that I couldn’t get out. This made me panic. I won’t be using Taxis again and wished I’d have just waited 30 mins for the bus which would’ve costed me £2 for the same journey and travel time. Ruined my day, 1 star is a compliment. Also car smelt of strong alcohol and cigarettes. AVOID.
