Went for the first time to a fireworks display. It was really beautiful and perfectly timed! Only thing I would say is it was advertised as a 'mini funfair' and all there that was there was one tea cup ride, one hook the duck and one food stall. Hardly a mini fair, but the fireworks were lovely.

Progressive non league club west of Reading. Renowned food in the clubhouse.

6/5/23 Reading City U23 2-3 Britwell FC in the semi-final of the Maidenhead Norfolkian Senior Cup. Entry £4. Large-ish car park with a few potholes. Lovely turnstile on entrance. Took cash at the gate, could only pay by card in the bar. It’s a big ground in terms of space around the pitch. There is cover at one end of the ground with a few seats there as well. The other end is open to the elements. There is a small seated stand opposite the dugouts. Behind the dugouts there is some cover but it is away from the pitch and your view will be obscured by 4 rather large dugouts. The clubhouse is very nice, spacious and modern with plenty of room. Everybody I spoke to was very friendly and welcoming. At the far end you get a great view of the Great Western train tracks, so if you like spotting trains this is the ground for you. I highly recommend a visit.

Nice people just a pity the ground is lacking but hey that's non league sometimes. If you're a train spotter you will love it!!! Not me tho. Sorry

Went for Reading lions fireworks display.Event was okay but feel with it being fully booked they let too many people in and event was way to overcrowded even with it being outdoors there no way you could social distance as everyone was squashed togetherFireworks was not in line with advertising of when they was being set off with numerous fireworks going off Earley.Stalls and rides were too overpriced for what they was offering.

This venue is vastly improved from its old 'Stalag Scours' days.Am a semi-regular here as it is probably the closest NL ground to me.Are doing things the right way slow steady changes - wider variety of stock in the club house - hot food laid on regularly now even for Woodley games. Some evidence of landscaping down one side though the natural surroundings are pretty grim in this area - they are doing what they can.

Nice pitch, we played the u13 team and the language of both players and coach left alot to be desired, their coach threw a tantrum at the ref after the game and I hope a complaint is made as his behaviour was terrible in front of the kids.
