I went from no control to completely in control…I cannot recommend Ian enough. We have a very anxious dog who is highly reactive, especially towards men, but as soon as Ian walked into our house I felt at ease thanks to his calm demeanour and clear experience of dogs and their behaviours.I‘ve been calling Ian ‘The Dog Whisperer’ because he kept predicting what our dog and the other dogs she was socialising with would do, and to our amazement he was right! This enabled us to understand her behaviours better and understand how to handle her as owners.Previously, I’d feel completely out of control and my dog would lead the walk, but now I am in control of my dog! It’s a special feeling and I’m able to relax with her in social situations. It has also put not only us as owners at ease, but our family and friends who come and visit. We now know how to keep Kallie calm when people come to the door and step into her territory. Everything Ian taught us just made sense, but we wouldn’t have been able to discover it without him. There are a lot of trainers out there who charge you for weeks and sometimes months of sessions where little to no change is made. Ian is not like that. Ian has ‘fixed’ our dog in one session. Yes, we need to put in the work as parents and practice the techniques, but the training is simple, powerful and effective. It’s important to note that our dog didn’t respond to the previous form of training we had because she was too anxious. If you are in this position, please give Ian a try and just watch him work his magic and then pass on the wand to you!

Ian is nothing short of a miracle worker. We had got to the heartbreaking point of feeling we needed to rehome our dog and had given our details to dogs trust. Outside of the house he was fine but inside he'd steal everything - food, toys, shoes - you name it he would take it. He'd also bark constantly when we were upstairs to the point we felt we couldn't relax in our own home. We contacted Ian and told him and Clare of the stress we were feeling and the impact it was having on our lives. I can't put into words how relieved we felt when they were able to slot is in last minute with promises that Ian would be able to help! From the second he stepped foot inside he had our dog under his spell, in fact we even struggled to replicate his naughty behaviour while Ian was there! Ian showed us two things and with that we have a completely different dog who we will absolutely not be rehoming!! He doesn't steal, doesn't bark and can switch off because he knows exactly what is expected of him now...and we can finally relax too! I can't recommend Ian and Clare enough, if you have any problems with your dog get in touch. They're patient, kind and clear with their advice. Genuinely life changing for us, thank you.

Calm, professional and endlessly knowledgeable. Our session today was worth every penny as I saw immediate positive changes in my dog’s behaviour (whilst I was handling him not just whilst Ian was) and was given lots of advice for continuation of training.Happy to recommend wholeheartedly, many thanks Ian.

My partner and I and our 3 miniature Dachshunds have just been on the most relaxed, positive walk we've ever had together. We were passed by at least 20 school children on a cycling trek and met two other dogs - albeit at a distance. Normally the cyclists, Segway riders and dogs even at a distance would have been enough to set all 3 dogs into a barking frenzy. Usually once triggered they bark at every moving thing until we inevitably give up and return home. We didn't get a single woof today and continued a long, relaxed enjoyable walk through countryside, forest and along coast path. Also for the very first time we had no pulling, no one dog out in front, no putting on the anchors at the styles and gates. We attribute this unique experience for us to Ian who we spent just 2 hours with yesterday.Within that short time Ian taught us how to communicate effectively to our dogs completely putting them at ease and keeping their reactivity and anxiety at bay. The learning registered on so deep a level that it has been transformative - in ourselves and in our dogs. The session with Ian was as much about instilling our self-confidence levels as it was about communicating with our dogs and assisting us in communicating effectively with them.Today was an early win, and we know we are just at the outset of a new way of being with our dogs, but already we feel more confident, determined and focused. We believe Ian achieved that in just a couple of hours because of his drive, passion and ability to engage with both dogs and people instantly and at a level that pushes the 're-set' button enabling you to transform and grow.A massive thank you Ian from the five of us and thank you to Sue who facilitated our booking perfectly and provided the reassurance we needed when we first made contact. Most of us intermittently talk about making a 'new start' in life. This truly feels like one and for Eugene, Pippin and Amber who are all still fast asleep, we believe the adventure has just begun.

Spending a couple of hours with Ian Cooper and his pack has positively changed the lives of my partner and I, and our dog. After months of persevering with another trainer and feeling frustrated and losing more and more confidence a friend recommended Ian. Within under half an hour I was lead walking my boy with conviction, past different members of Ian's pack without him lunging to get to them. Since our two hour session last week we have been able to enjoy off lead adventures with a new confidence in the recall techniques that we worked on and I feel so much more relaxed as if we have started a new chapter! I highly recommend Ian Cooper to anyone, you will come away with the skills and a new outlook that will carry through your dog ownership for life.

After feeling like we tried everything, Ian came in and offered hope within 5 minutes. We’ve spent 2 years hiding from dogs as our dog reacts so badly, but within an hour we were walking past and meeting Ian’s lovely dogs and I feel confident on how to help her going forwards. Can’t thank you enough! Will keep you posted on progress

Ours was an excellent training session with Ian, for us and our 2 year old Labradoodle. It gave us much insight into our problems with him, in an understandable, non judgemental way. We left with lots of helpful advice and strategies going forward. We have been practising with him addressing the problem of lead pulling, lunging and other problems with much success! We had tried ourselves for months with no progress.Straight away at the session a huge improvement, almostunbelievable. A huge thank you Ian.

I called on Ian to help as my dogs aggressive behavior towards the dog next door. It had spiraled out of control with all reward based training not solving the issue, this was affecting both how we and our neighbors used our gardens.Ian arrived and immediately took control of the situation and in less than two hours the two dogs were playing happily together both in the same garden and at the fence border where the issue was at its worst.Since then I have not only seen this issue disappear with the two dogs having regular playdates and us using our garden freely but his recall and heel work has improved beyond recognition. It is also obvious now the stress that this relationship" was causing both dogs

Sensible, no fuss, calm and effective dog management. Very impressed. Home the same day, Ive noticed my dog's behavioural changes, for the better. Immediately. My large boisterous slightly dominant dog was firmly put in her place by his 'Spaniel Armada' and honestly it was a joy to watch it, step back and relax and take advice. Im not as worried now, as I was. A great experience. Highly recommended.

We have a 2 year old mini schnauzer who was a nightmare for jumping up at people, pulling terribly on walks and barking himself silly, he got himself so wound up we didn't know how to correct his behaviour. Ian and George came to our home and met Ted and immediately started to understand what needed doing, he also bought 3 of his (beautiful!) Dogs with him to help gauge how Ted reacts to other dogs as well as people. We have seen such a difference using the techniques Ian showed us, Ted is not perfect but we have seen such an improvement and are continuing to use the techniques and now have more confidence in how to approach certain situations with Ted. Ian was so friendly and helped us see how to handle certain behaviours, he was never judgemental even though Ted was noisy and playing up a bit when they first met. Can't recommend Ian's services enough, we have a much better relationship with Ted now we all have a better idea of how to move forward. Thank you Ian, Claire & George!
