Taverham Vets

Had to visit as they were my out of hours service provider when kitty got unwell with vomiting & diarrhoea. Their service right from the first phone call to paying the bill was impeccable - vets & nurses clearly care for their patients, both animal & human. Decided to switch over to them from my previous vet and have not regretted it. Organised, dedicated and not too far from home.

I highly recommend Taverham Vets, the staff are helpful and friendly and the vets I have seen so far have been calm with my dog and knowledgeable regarding any concerns we had.

I’d like to say a BIG BIG thank you for your help early hours this morning! You saved my dogs life when no other vets was offering anything but either taking her from us or putting her down or a £2000 bill. You put her wealth fare before anything else, and due to your professionalism she has delivered the rest of her puppies and is in good health! I can’t thank you enough! Absolutely amazing! Very caring!! NOT IN IT FOR THE MONEY! Absolutely recommend! Thank you again sooooo much!

I have just had to use this vets as my rabbit, Noodle was very unwell. They took fantastic care of him overnight, phoning with regular updates. Unfortunate my bun bun is still poorly, but Taverham took care of transferring him to North Walsham for more treatment. I am for very grateful to them for all the work they have done for me to look after my pet whilst he was staying there. Eternally grateful , Thankyou.

The most wonderful practice we have ever been a part of. From careful and considered treatment to unfaltering compassion when a companion has been lost, we are so grateful to have Taverham Vets by our side when we have animals in our family. We had the very sad experience of having to take our injured cat here. We cannot thank the team enough for the care and support he was given. Unfortunately his injuries were too severe and he didn't make it. However, my wife and I would like to thank all the team for the amazing genuine support and care Marble received.

Most of the vets are lovely and know what they're talking about, are very patient and listen. Excellent regarding awkward nail clippings with our unsocialised BT.However we've had a vaccinations cockup in the past, where they lost all our terriers' notes and my partner had a full blown argument with a member of staff over them swearing they'd never seen him. They did apologise and we got a goody bag, eventually. But again, recently, we went, and there was a miscommunication by someone, maybe reception or the call handler, on what we actually had an appointment for...which confused the vet. Also, we've been getting vaccination texts upto a month earlier than normal. So their automated system seems a bit off.Nevermind! Otherwise it's a friendly and clean atmosphere.

I highly recommend these vets!!We had to use the emergency vets today due to my dog having sickness and diarrhea. He couldn't stand and was shaking. We called up, and they advised us to come in. We arrived and only had to wait 15 minutes. My dog was seen, fully checked over, and given medication. It was £234 but was worth the cost. Staff were so friendly and supportive, especially in such a crisis.

I’ve recently moved here from vets for pets, not because they weren’t good (they were actually great) but because I moved to Drayton and it seemed the right thing to do.So far I’ve not been overly impressed. A simple request (in person during appointment) for a repeat prescription turned into 1) in person appointment, 2) follow up email, 3) phone call, 4) another phone call, 5) then collection that receptionist didn’t know what was needed when I’d been told it was ready.The calls were particularly frustrating, when the vets called and asked what I wanted for my other dog…who I did not take in for the appointment.Imagine my delight when I finally got the prescription only to be asked to pay £23.50 for a WRITTEN PRESCRIPTION! £23.50 for a piece of paper that should have taken a vet 5 minutes to do due diligence and print it out. No wonder prices are this expensive when admin that should be simple, turns into a complete process that eventually drains resource capacity.I am sure the vets are amazing. I’ve seen a few of them and one was good, the others seemed lacking in confidence which didn’t fill me with hope. But I won’t judge further until their services may be needed.I just don’t feel the prices are justified. We all love our pets and I’d love to rescue another, but these vet bills put a stop to me saving another dogs life unfortunately and that’s a massive shame.

They was amazingSo lovely and everyone is so friendly and kind I would definitely go back there againI went in for emergency surgery for my dog she was pregnant and in labour and one puppies was stuck so she needed a c section they told us everything we needed to no and kept us updated with everything please go i recommend we couldn’t get any other vet to take her I’m just glad we now have 5 health puppies and one happy mother
