What can I say! Eve was nothing short of a miracle worker with our pup. We were slightly worried we had made a bad decision in getting a dog at first, but eve quickly taught us that if you put the correct time and training in, you can see amazing progression and your pup will really grow into an intelligent, well behaved member of the family. The puppy classes were so helpful and also fun to attend, getting lots of 1 on 1 help when needed. Wholeheartedly recommend this service for any dog owner.

A friend recommended Eve to us when I was struggling with our ‘full on’ puppy - as Eve herself described him. I was on the point of giving up on him when she offered to take him for a week to board with her and her dogs and to have some intensive training. He had a wonderful time and grew up a lot under her care. Eve’s way with dogs is a joy to watch and I learnt so much from her. Our pup is now more biddable, walks beautifully on the lead but I know we will be back to Eve for more recall training and boarding too.

Eve met my puppy at 8 weeks old and we completed 4 weeks of basic training together, just 1 hour a week. It was a brilliant introduction to the basic commands giving both my puppy and myself more confidence. Eve is knowledgeable about dog behaviour and I really valued her support, encouragement and no nonsense approach. When he's old enough we will definitely sign up for the intermediate classes.

My daughter Louisa and I found ourselves the proud owners of a black German Shepherd called Moti. She was a delightful but very challenging puppy and having no experience of looking after or training big dogs we were at a loss to know how to cope.Eve and Close Bond stepped in and gave us confidence and much good advice, as well as one to one training sessions and respite day care to enable us to carry on with our lives.We also attended beginners and then intermediate training sessions with Close Bond and after a year and a half we are feeling much more able to cope with our canine companion who has maintained a very close bond (!) with our guide and mentor, Eve.

Last year I took on a rescue dog who was severely traumatised. Lockdown meant that she had not had the chance to socialise normally. Eve has been brilliant at understanding our situation and helping to build her confidence. We attended the puppy classes and we are both really enjoying the Intermediate training. My dog is happier and has built a huge amount of trust in me. I am more confident in my ability to make situations less stressful for her and to take on new challenges. Eve is extremely knowledgeable about all breeds and types of dog , she takes the time to explain to all of us why our dogs react as they do. The dogs respond really well to her and she really wants to make everyone’s experience with their dog as positive as possible.

We were recently recommended to reach out to Eve after adopting Frankie, a mixed breed rescue dog who is approximately 18 months old and had been showing a lot of reactivity to other dogs when out and about. Eve has been amazing, helping us to understand why he is reacting and how we can help to manage it whilst we also build trust with Frankie and work to reduce his anxiety. She has given us lots of hints and tips while also working with us on many of the basics (walking on the lead, look at me" commands etc.) and really helping to train us as well as Frankie! There is still lots of work to do but after 4 sessions with Eve we are all feeling much better prepared and know that we can always reach out with any questions that we may have and for any more support that we need."

I have had a tough 4 months due to health and bereavement. Eve just stood in and took my Yorkie under her wing without hesitation and continues to help even though I’m home. She is professional and compassionate and I would recommend her to everyone. She’s a natural with dogs.
