My son worked here as an admin since September till March. His first experience was waiting 3 weeks for his first pay even though he was promised weekly pay. He was also promised £9.50 an hour, but was paid £9 throughout his entire employment which even though was compensated, was a direct contract breach by this “agency”. He was also often put on wrong tax codes resulting in higher tax. As well as that, he was not paid for his final week and instead had to wait two weeks for his final pay which was half of a week that he done prior to leaving, however he was not paid for the fully worked week before that. My son was often told to lie to candidates about jobs and things such as starting times for new jobs, most of these “new” jobs did not happen anyway, but he was told to try and recruit for them anyway, resulting in constantly getting peoples hopes up for nothing. Personally, I would stay away from Gi as far as possible because the whole company is very slow-paced and they often do get your pay wrong so it’s possibly the worst agency in Southampton you can work for, if you manage to actually find a job in there, because in terms of new jobs coming up in that company, it is a lot of “it might happen” and not a lot of it actually happening.

Very rude and incompetent staff; falsifying of test result because they don't like you .. or you are not from their country (if you are family/friend or your English is really bad but they need people you will always pass the test, don't worry); after the test they ask you to waste 1hr of your life to fill out the paperwork and will send you back home without any job offer (CooperVision - they always need people to Coopervision, that's it); lots of ads on the window but nothing to offer; 15 tables inside but you will have to fill out all this sh* on your knee outside; when you want to speak with someone about holiday, payment etc they never have time to answer the phone and the receptionist knows nothing so you will never get an answer. When you finish with them you need to fill out another paperwork but nobody will tell you that and you will never receive your holiday.

These people are truly professional. I couldn't recommend Magdalena enough, she's always very helpful and friendly. I hope to deal with her again soon. Thank you Magdalena and GI Group!

I past agency test but I failed test in Cooper Vision - Humble. I felt so small and unwanted. Worst experience ever! In Agency I was told that I can't apply for any other job in Cooper Vision ever. Even though I didn't start the job because I had test on the very first day of work. I felt like a criminal, like I've done something bad. Different people in agency told me different things. I was confused and I lost lots of time waiting for any other job - I got nothing.Very disappointing, not helpful.

I went there to apply for a position at CooperVision which an Eye test was request. I booked and paid it with my own money which I thought that it was understandable since CooperVision is a company that works with contact lenses and the position I was applying was for Production Operative. It was requested to fill a registration form and then I was informed that I was going to do a test straight away. The test had 12 questions.Had no explanation of what was it for or even what to do. I felt mistreated by the Rude people there in the office and I felt like I was in Cashier in a Supermarket just trying to hurry up because there was Customers behind. I did the test got 7 questions right out of 12 I was by far surprised and asked If I could know why since the questions were really easy and I was pretty sure something was wrong and then it was denied and informed to come back in two weeks or apply for something else. I don't know if it was because someone didn't like me or if its a normal thing but I never felt this bad. At the end of the day I was misjudged by a 12 question TEST instead of my actual skills on my CV. I contacted CooperVision about this situation since they are in need of employees for the production line which I offered to do any shift. Worst experience and I will make sure this case gets in the right hands to dealt with. Kind Regards

Really good company to work for. I have been working for Gi Group for 3 years until present date. Never have had a problem with anything. Receiving wages on time, payslips and assistance if needed. Great staff!

Very happy with the Gi Group in Southamtpon, I came in and the next day I was already in work. The consultant and branch manager who helped me were clear, precise and friendly! I recommened anyone looking for work to try out Gi Group in Southampton, they are awesome!

My team leader from airways Ltd. changed my job position when i asked a reason I've got answer that i must to do what she says or to close a doors from another side"... Btw in that position which i was pushed barely could handle even those staff who works there for ages... I really didn't feel ready either... When i asked about possibility to try in other positions (especially knowing that they're short of staff) I've got answer that I'm not this person who can choose! Finally I've got a call from agency that my shifts finished in that company without a possibility to come back! The reason was "Refused to follow orders" (doesn't matter that I've tried)... I said it's not through then they gave another reason "disrespectful attitude". They even dont bother to analyse situation.. They stick you straight away "No right ever to return" sticker. I feel like a biggest criminal...Regards"

Chloe and the rest of the staff were very helpful and supportive. Wages were always correct and paid on time and no issues with holidays.They kept me employed and were available all through the Covid troubles, many thanks and good luck,Karl
