Roskhill House

Literally the BEST Bed & Breakfast. The location is great, having the remote feel you want on Skye, but within 10-45 minutes driving of all the main points of interest. The hosts were the nicest people, giving great suggestions and really treating everyone like friends. The place is SUPER well put together with nice art and great furniture and fixtures (my fiance and I joked and said we want them to come be our interior decorators). The room was thoughtful as well with a towel heater in the bathroom and a little coffee and tea area in the main room, with treats like Scottish tablet and shortbread cookies. The breakfast in the morning was also a huge delight, as the menu changed daily, featuring fresh baked goods, Scottish treats, smoked carrot lox, local cheeses, and made-to-order warm dishes such as poached eggs on potato cakes or porridge with whiskey and white chocolate flecks. If they ever make a cookbook I’m buying it! We were so sad to leave but are 10000% recommending this spot to all of our friends thinking of taking vacations to Skye soon. What a wonderful spot!Martin and Charles are lovely hosts (not to mention their gorgeous puppy), with great local knowledge. The house itself is charming and cosy. My partner and I spent two nights here, and I'd have been only too happy to spend longer, if only to do justice to the breakfast buffet!The premises is eco-friendly and the brekky fully vegetarian. I'm a proud omnivore and can say without hesitation I've never felt better fed with what was on offer. Stilton tart, smoked 'salmon' (you'll just have to try it...amazing!) and apple cake real highlights for me.Honesty bar offerings were carefully curated, prices excellent and atmosphere spot on.Thanks chaps. We will be coming back...! ❤️

I can't say enough great words about this place! We loved every minute of our stay! Martin and Charles have created a space so cozy and welcoming that you immediately feel like home! You can borrow books from their bookcase and immerse yourself into the amazing history of Scotland and the Isle of Skye, you can taste a dram or two in their snug, follow their off-the-beaten track recommendations, have a good night's sleep and fall head over heels with their vegetarian and vegan breakfast!Thank you and see you soon!

I stay in a lot of BnBs through the years and this is by far, the best. The team are very attentive, without being intrusive.The rooms are spotless, very well laid out and well proportioned.Breakfast, was excellent. An extremely well laid out buffet with a fantastic selection of choices.Very soon, this place will be a 5⭐️ BnB.

Roskhill House was, without a doubt, our favorite place we stayed on our 10-day Scotland roadtrip.Martin is such a wonderful and kind host. There are so many thoughtful elements that just make you feel like you're staying with good friend. The breakfast was my absolute favorite with a beautiful buffet of baked goods plus a hot meal order. We ended up going to one of the local Michelin star restaurants, yet at the end of the day the raspberry and white chocolate porridge as Roskhill House had my heart. And after a fun climb up to the Old Man of Storr, all I could thinking about what getting back to the car where I had a piece of Roskhill House banana bread waiting for me.The room and bed were very comfortable and the location is beautiful and quiet. You're not in the direct heart of touristy areas like Portree but it's still easy to access all the sites around the island. I cannot wait to make it back to Skye someday and stay at the Roskhill House again! Thank you again Martin for a lovely stay.

Wow! Worth a stay. At least 3 days. So you can test all the wonderful breakfast selection that are prepared!! Charles and Martin are the perfect hosts!Charging place for the electriccar!

Stayed at Roskhill House for two nights and had a wonderful experience. New owners are great hosts and go out our their way to make guests feel at home. Highly recommended. Gabe great tips on seeing the island.

Outstanding BnB, highly, highly recommend. Great hosts. The room is extremely well appointed, with lots of little practical touches that make your stay comfortable (great toiletries, mini fridge, convenient outlets, boot tray, etc.). Breakfast was very tasty and had a much better variety than most BnBs in Scotland. The location is outstanding if you are interested in really exploring Skye, and is both out of the way/main tourist trail but still right off a well maintained road.

It is our first time in Scotland and being this far from home but we found a piece of home here at Roskhill House. The saying Arrive as strangers and leave as friends" is exactly what we experienced here with Martin and Broadie.The room was nice and spacious

Lovely place ran by two extremly nice folks. The breakfasts were delicious, the room was cosy. highly recommended if you plan a trip on the isle of Skye
