Only came to eat. Had the best service in particular from Caitlin who was so lovely and accommodating. It was steak Wednesdays and I can honestly say the best steak I've ever had! Beautiful place. Good food. Great location. We'll be back!

We look forward to visiting the pub when we are staying in the area. The food and service is simply excellent. There aren’t many places that make a high quality Sunday Roast. Booking a table online is easy, and the welcome there is always warm. It has a lovely garden and the atmosphere inside is friendly. Great staff. Great Chef.

The Foresters Arms
I visited on Saturday while staying at the nearby campsite. Lovely country pub serving a nice local bitter, and a welcome refreshment on a walking route. I think is was the landlord who served me; we had a nice chat and he brought some biscuits outside for my Terriers. A pleasant place to visit. Will visit again to try the food.

I took my husband here on Friday evening for his birthday having seen great reviews online. The pub is delightful, staff and customers all very friendly but we waited just under an hour for our food to arrive. My chicken schnitzel was good but the broccoli was inedible - really thick stalks and under cooked. They did apologise and offered me a desert on the house. However, for me, the most disturbing thing was to see several of the serving staff continually eating snacks with their fingers from a bowl situated on the serving hatch and then wiping their fingers on their clothing between serving the customers.

Last minute booking arriving in the middle of a multi day bike ride very tired and somewhat disheveled. All the staff were wonderful helping us secure our bikes and arranging for dinner and an early breakfast. The room was comfortable and clean above the cozy traditional bar. Lovely welcoming atmosphere - would highly recommend to weary travellers looking for a warm welcome, good food and comfortable lodgings.
