Mr Kenneth Skinner acted for me on the recent sale of my property, it was dealt with professionally with excellent communication throughout the process. I would highly recommend.

We had atleast 3 people looking after my conveyancing at this solicitors and what a shambles . We were not kept in form of progress would not reply to emails phone calls or even mail . They took to much work on and had not enough staff to cope and what staff they had some could not come up to the mark . We feel let down and this firm should take some responsibility on losses our move . I would definitely not recommend the firm to handle legal affairs . What a shambles .

If I could give half a star I would, if they actually picked the phone up and Kenneth answers, put the phone straight back down and go somewhere else!!! Our house Sale collapsed, we were the end of chain of 5. All other parties stated this was due to our solicitors and how poor their communication and response rate was. Luckily we managed to move with the help of our new Solicitors, but Welch and Stammers still had the audacity to chase us for abortive charges!! Do not use unless you want endless stress and headache.

I was recently put in the unfortunate position where I needed Family Law advice, and cannot recommend Kerry Joels at John Welch & Stammers highly enough!Kerry was thorough and diligent throughout the whole process, and secured my desired outcome with ease. It is also worth pointing out that Kerry was extremely sensitive to the nature of situation and calmed my (sometimes irrational) anxieties- this is no mean feat, trust me!Thank you JW&S!

Shambolic service from a divorce solicitor at this firm. 100% professional misconduct resulting in catastrophic consequences in a divorce case and severe financial hardship as well almost ruining an entire family. We used this firm for a purchase of our property. Kenneth was our solicitor. This should have been a straight forward transaction but we had a lot of issues. To start with they haven't noticed that they had no communications from the buyers solicitors for 6 weeks at which point we realised we have lost that buyer. The main reason I give 2 stars because they have tried to overcharge us by 300£. They are also not very good at replying to emails or even reading them. When I asked some questions I did not get a straight answer ever I suspect mainly because he didnt have any idea about my case. I imagine they take on too much and just cant keep up. On the positive side they have completed the transaction at the desired time but with a lot of encouragement from me. I was also able to talk to the solicitor directly which is a good feature. I know these are strange times but I wouldnt use this firm again.

The family used Bernie and her team following good recomendations from friends. Being happy with the fact they are a long established firm with a large enough experianced work force to get the job done,we instructed them to carryout the dealings of our deceased parents estates, of which was not completely straightforward. Bernie handled everything with the expertise expected and the compassion we appreciated.We would certainly recommend them.

Recently purchased a property via Welch & Stammers. We found Kenneth to be very helpful and extremely thorough in all aspects of our case.During the purchase there were some quiet periods where perhaps Kenneth could have sent ‘check in’ emails or similar.However, throughout the process it was clear that our interests were at the forefront of Kenneth’s decisions. Some areas were described as more complicated than they actually were but overall a smooth purchase.Worth mentioning that during a time while Kenneth was on leave Gareth was covering for Kenneth and he was very much on the ball with our case. Gareth dealt with our needs with a more personable approach which was reassuring and he was generally nicer to speak with in my opinion.I would have given 5 stars but the gap in communication was a little big and perhaps a more personable approach from all working at W&S would have swayed me to give the full 5*
