Futon Company - Oxford

Absolutely love this shop. So many beautiful pieces of furniture here! The lady was super helpful and made sure that I was able to take advantage of the great sale they had on AND be able to collect it on a date that suited me a week and a half away. I was really pleased and can't wait to pick up my furniture next week!

Constantly receiving spam email's from this company. I've never been a customer, never purchased anything from you, never visited the store and never signed up for your email's. I've clicked unsubscribe many times and I still get junk email from you.

Called in whilst on a short break to Oxfordshire. Love the shop ! All the designs really nice and chic. I bought two small storage tables - 2nd one was half price ! The lovely lady in the shop was super helpful and packaged so me and my husband could carry them away. Just got home and put them together and I love them. They look so expensive too. Really happy we found the shop and there’s one not to far from home so I will be shopping there again. Thank you.

We were in Oxford on holiday when we saw some tables we had been considering for a long time. In Oxford they were on offer.My parents offered to buy as a gift so I rang & enquired if they had two. I paid for one over the phone there & then & reserved the second.We arranged to collect 2 days later when the shop opened at 10am.I rang to say we were 5 minutes away & Karen advised they were at the door ready for us.Very efficient & helpful staff.Thank you for a great shopping experience.

We visited accidentally on our day to Oxford but were very positively surprised by the style and quality. The beds and the couches that can be turned to beds were all really well designed and had great quality. If we would need to furnish our home, I would definitely go there.

Amazing service from beginning until the end of the purchase. The staff were really helpful and knowledgeable. I'm happy with the quality of the futon mattress that I bought as well. A couple of weeks after the delivery and pleased with my purchase, I received a follow up email from the company letting me know how to care for my futon. I thought that was a nice touch.

Wide range of bed & lounge furniture. We bought our bedroom furniture from the shop 12 years ago and it is still pretty much the same quality we got it years ago. For this visit, we got 2 nice privacy screens and the quality are good as expected.Vicky, the manager still work there and she's also the reason we go back to the shop. Excellent service and the delivery arrived exactly the date she told us.Thanks Vicky!

I have had a very mixed experience with the futon company. First the positives: I have an oak desk from the futon company which has been absolutely brilliant - nice compact frame, great design and can hold a sit-stand adaptor on it without issues. The futon mattress has had decent longevity (getting up to 5 years of use), although at this stage is severely deformed and quite uncomfortable in spite of flipping it frequently.Other items - swivel chair, mattress topper and pillows - have not been as great.The item that really disappointed me was a swivel chair which lasted for perhaps 1 year in good condition and 1 year in suboptimal condition, since the screws wore through the wood insert and the chair is now entirely not useable. I tried to communicate with the company since I would like to fix the chair rather than replace it (the seating itself is perfect and very comfortable - I would have been happy to pay just to get replacement legs), but I cannot get replacement parts for it - making its short lifespan very wasteful and environmentally costly. Similarly their mattress topper deteriorated very rapidly.Ultimately, great design, unique items that are useful for compact spaces, but the short guarantee (1 year) and short longevity of many items makes me very unlikely to go back.

I really like the design of many of their items, but the quality of the one product I bought left me unhappy. I bought a robe which fell apart after a few months, even though I only wore that thing once a week at best.I went to the shop to ask what to do about it and they told me to send photos. So I went back, took photos and sent them the one below. Didn’t hear back so returned to the shop. There I was told that likely the producer wouldn’t accept that this was their fault, so they couldn’t do anything about it, since the guarantee is only “a few months or so”.. So I am stuck with a robe that is coming apart at the seams... not great.So in summary: Products that look great, but might fall apart after a few months.
