RSPCA Little Valley Animal Shelter

I adopted a cat a couple of months ago and the process was so seamless. The staff clearly have the best interests of the animals at heart and really want to see them go to good homes. My cat had some medical issues which were dealt with whilst he was at the shelter and I got great support for his ongoing care once he was home with me. The adoption fee covers the neutering, microchipping, and vaccinations so is excellent value for anyone looking for a new pet. My cat is happy and settling in so well and I want to say a huge thank you to all the staff at Little Valley for taking such good care of him during his time at the shelter.

I adopted a cat from them. The whole process was very smooth, they were very helpful and thorough and every volenteer/ staff member we spoke with were so friendly, and clearly loved the animals in their care. They all looked very well looked after and cared for, so I will definitely be recomeding anyone looking to adopt to do it through Little Valley.

Adopted seven mice from Little Valley. The process was very thorough to ensure the right person and were going to be placed in suitable, spacious enclosures. Unfortunately, one of the mice had a tumour and died two weeks after we had her.

Im absolutely disgusted in what I witnessed today in this shop. The shop worker who had long blonde hair was vile to a customer and 2 children that were with her. I witnessed the 2 kids looking for lil gifts for Xmas they were being good as gold, and the shop worker snatched the gifts from there hands and started pushing this lady out if the shop screaming kids should be seen and nit heard. I am absolutely shocked in the behaviour of a charity worker. I wint be surprised if it gets boycotted, honestly shocking, the woman needs to be fired

Great staff, super helpful and friendly... We took on a rescue doggie and they did everything to make sure both the dog and us were a right fit for each other! Thanks!

Visited the shelter to replace our much loved cat that we had adopted from here 11 years ago.The attitude of the staff has changed enormously since our last visit. Of course the pandemic changed the visiting policy, but normal" service has not resumed. We were told that appointments must be made as the staff "are busy working and don't wish to be interrupted " .We have to select a cat on the website and it will be brought out to us. But our previous cat most definitely chose us as we were visiting . How can this happen online ?We were very disappointed."

Was a chauffeur for my friend who was adopting a cat from Little Valley. Whole process was very thorough but streamlined. Appointment only to meet the cat. Cannot recommend enough, very friendly and well informed staff who care deeply for the welfare of their animals. My friend's little cat has settled in and adjusted so well. Please consider adoption through Little Valley.
