Whet for a meal. From the ease of booking a table online to the Welcome received, the choice of food on the menu, range of drinks available, etc, etc, couldn't be faulted. But just one recommendation, we used the car park across the road which not only had huge pot holes, but after dusk, please turn on the lights in the car park. On a dark, drizzly night this time of year, at even 6.30pm, it was a dangerous terrain to drive over never mind walking and avoiding puddles, etc, in the dark.

Friendly and accommodating staff when booking and serving. Waited 1 hour 25 mins for two steaks one rare and one well done had to ask where the food was. When the food arrived one was blue the other medium but so hungry we ate it flavours were good. Glad we didn't ask for starters or desert we would have had to book a room judging by the time scales desert would arrive by breakfast. £60 plus for a very average pub steak

We used the restaurant of this Inn. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was great quality and good value for money. It was do good we visited for meals twice during our week in the area. Would happily recommend.

Classic country pub & inn. We walked in for dinner on a Friday night without reservation, staff were friendly and we were seated right away. Cosy, pleasant family friendly atmosphere and a section where people can bring their dog in.Food was nice, traditional pub fare.Parking outside is a bit tight, there is more across the road.

Stayed for my husbands 40th, we had a mountain view, dinner bed and breakfast deal (buy directly from The Groes you'll receive a £10 voucher to spend on food and drink!) Great value for money!Firstly, all of the staff are lovely!!The room was great, HUGE bed, they had decorated the room to celebrate my husbands birthday and left a birthday card, was a really thoughtful touch.All the food we had during our stay was delicious, couldn't fault a thing.We will definitely be going back when we want to relax and unwind. Thank you to everyone at The Groes, keep doing what you're doing

Date of visit: 19th-20th October 2023Hotel: great room with a huge bed. Beautiful balcony with an amazing view of the mountains in the Conwy Valley.Location: beautiful country setting approximately 3 miles from Conwy town centre. Quiet and peaceful setting that resulted in a great night’s sleep.Staff: very friendly, polite and professional. It was my birthday and they left a birthday card in my room and decorated it with banners.Evening meal:Gammon, egg and chips. A good old fashioned meal done very well. Really enjoyed it.Breakfast: traditional full English breakfast - spot on!

Visited for the light lunch menu and it was lovely food. Excellent value for money and really tasty. Lovely rump steak, chips and sauce. Staff were so friendly and very attentive. Really lovely beer garden too, with superb views. Will definitely be back!

A wonderful pub. The staff were so friendly, we went in on a Sunday without a booking with my pregnant friend. The staff bent over backwards to accommodate us. All staff were very friendly and considerate. We were sat outside to begin with (the view is incredible) and it started to rain, staff hurried to find a table indoors for us. Food was excellent. Wish this was my local.

Visited for Sunday Lunch whilst visiting our son and daughter in law who live nearby.We had the Sunday sharing lunch would highly recommend absolutely beautiful , with unlimited Yorkshire puds and gravy.Staff were very attentive and the place has a lovely warm atmosphere, will definitely be returning on our future visits.
