I stayed in Luton the night before an early morning flight from Luton airport. The station was clean, tidy and the staff were really helpful. The only downside (and it was major) was the lack of lifts. I am an able bodied person, but having to carry a 23Kg suitcase up 2 flights of stairs was really hard going! Between the 4 of us travelling together, we had 4 similar sized cases. However, one of the party is registered disabled with mobility difficulties and was unable to carry their case up themselves. I asked for assistance and the staff could not have been more helpful or apologetic about the lack of lifts, but I am sure that carrying cases up the staircase is not in their job description!

FIRST TIME TRAVELLERS - BEWARE!!There are NO lifts at this station. I repeat no lifts at this station. If you plan to stay in this town and carrying a suitcase. Be prepared to carring it 20 steps and back down. NO DISABILITY FACILITIES. WHAT A BLOODY JOKE!!!?

Horrible, tatty station that should have been knocked down decades ago. No lift facility to get to the platforms, how thoughtful and understanding of the imbeciles responsible for this station. Obviously have zero compassion or understanding for those who are disabled or carry heavy luggage. Platform roofs are shockingly bad, falling apart. Wonder if all the budget for Luton went on Parkway station to make the town look somewhat acceptable. But the real residents and passengers of Luton are shoved to the bottom of the list and set up to take this terrible station. Not enough ticket machines. Toilets are disgusting and rarely open. Thameslink/whoever is responsible for the station should be disciplined for how terrible they've let this station get. Too busy building parking to extort passengers instead of enhancing or even repairing the station. Imagine your legacy being letting this station that serves a massive community fall apart. Some people have no pride in their job and unfortunately we have these disappointing people running Luton Station. Thankfully they're not running the country - similar calibre though haha. Hopefully when this generation departs the new generation will make things better

Becarefull to come Luton town from train, tap is not working here and they will charge you 12 £. From airport they told me that, i don't need to buy ticket. I can use my phone tap to pay and see what is happened. Staff is very rude and unfriendly.

Horrible station. Lifts usually out of order. Looks and feels scummy, like it will fall down very soon. Best thing is getting a train away from it!

Just met two unhelpful & rude staff - probably having a bad day due to rude passengers but very much took it out on me despite my polite enquiry.I support in-person help being available at train stations but not when they speak to you like a dog and act as though everything is very obvious when it really is not.

I live in Luton now and I wouldn't go out past 23:00hrs as it tends to get a bit nasty! There has been a few stabbings lately which makes it an unsafe place at night

Where do we start? Barriers hardly work, wont recognise smart tickets so cant validate journey. Station is filthy, despite renovation being carried at mind numbing slowest pace ever. The worst part is the last second platform alterations, while station staff hide. Nothing changed in since 1997. Absolutely disgusting relic in Luton.

Luton Station is one of the busy station which is connecting to Central n north london. Location is good coz a big shopping mall is just around. You can ind a Arndale Shopping center just ar walking distance from the station. Starbucks and Local pubs at walking distance. Ample parking spaces . Railway station is connected to bus station for Milton Keynns /St Alban/ HemelHampsted / Couple of cafes, pubs n shops as well as a big interchange bus station around too. This station is not updated but very old one with basic facilities. No escalators or lifts. It’s mean if u have heavy luggage, u have to carry it by urself. It’s but dark station, full of diesel smell. I don’t know why they r not going to update it. But anyhow at least it’s good to have station than nothing.
