If I could give no stars I would. This business has done nothing but waste my time and cost me money. Had a previous bad experience coming a considerable distance to see a machine which was not as described but thought I would give it one more try (as anyone can make mistakes)as they had a machine in stock which I wanted to buy. Oh boy how wrong I was about a one of mistake! Phoned regarding a machine I really wanted to purchase. The sale rep wasn't available but did phone me back. He confirmed a price which I was very happy with. I decided to pack up for the afternoon and travel another considerable distance to see and hopefully purchase the machine. Even had the cheque book ready. My business partner whom I spoke to was a little skeptical about the price and asked me to phone back to check I had heard right. I phoned back and got the same rep I previously spoke to. I give him their sales listing reference to avoid any confusion and he confirmed the same price as previously. To cut a long story short travelled to their yard with a view to purchasing the machine there and then. Firstly the sales rep that was available didn't even know they stocked the machine. He eventually located it but stated it wasn't on their system yet, even though it was advertised on their website. He asked what we had been quoted. We replied and then he told us where the machine was and to go and have a run in it around the yard. More messing about ensued but eventually got it started. The sales rep then came out and said that the machine was not the price we were quoted. It had suddenly gone up 65%. I was absolutely dumbfounded that this business, and I used the term business lightly, had wasted more of my time and money for nothing. The machine suddenly became idiotically overpriced and not a single apology was forthcoming. The sales rep just turned his back and walked away. That is twice now that Alexander Mills Ltd has been dishonest and messed me about and let me assure you it will be the last as I will never set foot in their yard again and would never recommend this shambles of a business to anyone.

Service very slow, plenty of selection and parts availability but very difficult to get the relevant person and especially if they can take a phone call rather than deal with a customer actually standing at the counter.

I have been doing business with Alexander for many years as did my Father before me and I have to say they have always been more than obliging and very helpful.Good business,good staff and good neighbours.

Bought a baler, was sent to me without being checked over at all and wasn’t fit for purpose, when I complained I was fobbed off, they eventually agreed to take it back and repair it and that was nearly 2 months ago and it still has not be returned to me, I’ve had to engage a solicitor to get them to return my own baler which has been paid for in full, been trying to contact them and getting no response, madness, not only do they sell machinery not fit for purpose but then hold onto it when they are suppose to be fixing it. Had to pay contractors to do work I should have been able to do myself and now have to pay solicitor to pursue them to return my own property!! Be warned folks!!

Very poor service,bought a bucket from these people, told it was in stock and would be delivered mid week, 2 weeks later had to collect myself, still waiting on a pallet fork frame that was included in deal, 3 weeks later, sales team DO NOT RETURN CALLS, and when pressed for an answer become RUDE with smart answewrs, it now has been 6 WEEKS and no sign of the frame that has already been paid for!!!!!

This company literally buy machinery from farmers etc take their profit, sell them on without checking if the item is even working. Total rip off merchants. While they make sure they have a satisfying profit from the machinery the least they could do is check that it is working. Shame on you.

Great service helpful staff first quality company

Hi folks,I recently purchased a used hedgecutter off Alexander Mills.The service and customer support via email and phone was 100%. Very prompt delivery less then a week from payment. Their service and quality machines are very good for a small farmer like myself. Their delivery driver Aiden 100% gentleman and great lad on the small roads.
