Cromford Tapas Bar
Didn't know about this place until one of my friends booked for 4 of us to go last night. We took advantage of the 6 plates for £36 deal and had an assortment of cheese, fish, meat and salad dishes. All were cooked and presented to a high standard and served by friendly and welcoming staff. I especially enjoyed the battered black pudding with chorizo. We will definitely be returning.

What a disappointment. We waited one hour for the first dishes to arrive. Food was good quality but after 2 hours we had only got 4 dishes out of 6 and one of those was wrong. We left in the end without waiting for the last dishes more than 2 hours and gave up. Real pity as it was a birthday celebration

We visited last Saturday.We arrived, after booking a table, to find that our booking had been lost but did manage to get a table. We had to wait about 30 minutes for drinks even though a couple who came in about 15 minutes after us got their drinks before us. Eventually after 2 hours we had 4 of our 6 dishes, the final straw came when our 5th dish went to the table next to us who had come in about an hour after us. None of the dishes came together, the kitchen staff were clearly arguing, one member of staff went out crying. Complete disarray!! The plus side was the food we did have was lovely.

Excellent food and friendly staff. We had several tapas and all very good but highly recommended Goat cheese pear and walnut - amazing!

Ah man, it was so good. Had the 6 tapas for £28. Good for the two of us.Really cozy place with family style staff.The dessert and sangria were nice as well.

Fabulous, almost hidden. tapas restaurant. We ate from the 3 tapas + a glass of sangria for £10.95, and every dish was delicious and transported our minds back to Spain we used to know" and hopefully will be back to soon."

Wow. We had a fantastic meal for my birthday last night. Best prawns we have had in a long time. Courgette fritters were stunning and the calamari’s very tender. We had eight tapas and couldn’t fault any of them. Crema de Catalana was lovely too. Atmosphere was lovely and the staff fantastic. Shame we don’t live closer as we would be here all the time!

Lovely little hidden Gem, hidden away and difficult to find.Little cosy restaurant and very intimate.Large menu and choice of food, including 6 tapas plates for £31.00.Very friendly staff and reasonably priced.Ideal if you don't want to go into Matlock Bath
