Food was lovely, place was lovely and staff were kind friendly.Were busy as to be expected on a Saturday night but still a great service just slightly slower than expected when booked in advanced and weren't a walk in .would recommend to and would go back just can't give 5 stars as not perfect .

Myself and my other half picked this pub after one we were planning on eating at was shut.It turned out that it was one of their two steak nights. Two steaks and a bottle of wine for £40. The steaks were cooked to perfection, the portion sizes were bang on and the food came out very quickly.The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly. Since neither of us drink alcohol, we asked if it was possible to get the drinks for free instead of the bottle of wine. We had 2 rounds of juice and to our surprise the second round was free too! The dessert was delicious and we left feeling we had a good quality meal at a bargain price.Would 100% recommend.

Dropped in here after a day visiting York. Beautiful, appealing pub, All the staff were friendly and polite. The place had a wonderful warm atmosphere. Food was fabulous. Would definitely recommend a visit here. Wish we lived closer as this would be our go to local! 5 stars from us!

Nice little pub with great food. The steak night is to be highly recommend.The portions are decent but not so large that you don’t have room for dessert.Because the pub is closed Monday and Tuesday getting booked can sometimes prove a little tricky so look to book a week in advance.Reasonable prices for such quality food.

Delicious Sunday lunch with turkey option this month. Homemade gravy, not a granule in sight and tasty potatoes, red cabbage, parsnips etc. Loved it
