My partner went in for tattoo thinking Marcelo (Formerly Brazink) was still there. His other tattoo was previously done by Marcelo 5years ago and hasn’t faded at all. However, learnt Marcelo is no longer there and booked in with Niki-ink (Moon ink) for a few days later. It was to be a full sleeve eventually, starting with the hand which cost £200. At first the tattoo looked great and he was pleased and was booked in for the next part of the sleeve which cost another £350. However, within two weeks the hand tattoo had half disappeared and was all patchy (not like the usual healing process)-it was a poor job. he fully understands hand tattoos fade quicker over time due to their location but begs the question why it faded almost immediately. Moon ink also said hand tattoos fade quicker (which we are aware of but as previously alluded to, this is a new tattoo) Niki said she would have to “run it” again when it had fully healed which he was happy about that it would be getting fixed. Therefore, he continued with the next part of the sleeve (also left with a few white cloudy patches but looks better than the hand), then he booked in again to have the hand fixed.he was shocked to discover he was charged £100 for correcting the work on the hand and even at that it still looks a mess and the line is uneven and you can tell it is heading the same direction. It is disheartening as there was No attempt to make a gesture of goodwill to fix the poor work, instead charged more for a poor fix up. Disappointed is an understatement for £650 as he had continued with the next part of the sleeve giving the tattoo artist the benefit of the doubt. The money is not an issue if you are getting a quality tattoo. He was going to continue getting the sleeve done at Moon ink after getting the hand fixed (hence why he paid another £350 for the next sitting after the hand tattoo) but after being charged for their mistake he will not be returning. Take your money elsewhere and do your research- have since spoke to another person whose tattoo faded but they refused to pay for it to be fixed. Hes not confrontational and I feel this was taken advantage of especially when he told the artist originally the tattoo was to represent mental health. We also asked for a second opinion from another reputable artist in the Lisburn area (which I will not name) before posting this review who advised the issue is due to poor application and in their words “any decent tattooist would never have allowed that to happen because it’s like art it bears our signature and should definitely not have charged for a fix as a gesture of goodwill for their shoddy work”.
