We just spent an amazing vacation with Tilly exploring Scotland and the NC500.Ian took his time to make sure we were comfortable with driving Tilly, explaining the local traffic rules, and giving us plenty of advise and ideas for what to do(and not to do). After a thorough introduction we were safely on out way!I highly recommend trying to drive one of these authentic old vans, its a lot of fun, and being in a van, thats not too big, gave us the opportunity to camp in secluded places with beautiful views. Even in August, a high peak tourist season. We had some of the best quality sleep in Tilly, very comfortable, and that mixed with the pure Scottish air is a perfect blend.We’re looking forward to or next trip in Tilly or one of the other vans!

Highly recommend!We've just finished our 10 day trip to the Isle of Mull with Horace.The booking, pick-up and drop-off were seamless and Ian gave us a great introduction to the van.Horace is well equipped with crockery, basic kitchen stuff, camping chairs and table, gas hob and fridge. We really enjoyed driving around in the van and spending cosy evenings with stunning views. The bed was comfortable.This trip made us want to have our own camper van.

Great experience!We spend a lovely eleven days exploring the Trossachs, Glencoe and the Isle of Skye in the company of Monty. Requesting Monty to join our trip was easy: the company website is well structured and gives clear info on the equipment of the vans and on what to bring. Ian is prompt to respond to questions by email, even on odd times like Sunday evening late.Ian provides a very complete service: he drove us from and to North Berwick train station, he explained all of Montys' equipment, plus we both got a thorough test drive, making us familiar with the van and with things like UK roundabouts.Monty is well equipped for a relaxing holiday with items like a gas stove, running water, fridge, crockery, camping table and chairs, led lighting, usb ports, etc. We also made use of the free bedding service, to keep our luggage manageable.At the start of our trip we got a red indicator on the dashboard; via whatsapp Ian provided a prompt solution and we could continue our trip.After a day or so getting acquainted to Monty, he proved to be great fun driving him along the winding single track roads of the hills of Glencoe and of Skye. His great looks caused repeated smiles from both ourselves and people we met :-).We cannot imagine a better way to explore Scotland than on a road trip with a VW T2 like Monty. With Ian's excellent service that adds up to a super holiday. We will definitely continue our road trip with Monty or with one of his friends!

We highly recommend getting one of Ian's classics vans for your trip through Scotland. We just finished our 10-day trip to the Isle of Skye using a new yellow van called Dotty.Booking, communicating with Ian before and during the trip went seamless and so did the driving of the van itself. Although both of us were unfamiliar with driving on the left side of the road and the funkiness of an older car, Ian made sure we were more than competent to pursuit our holiday. After he picked us up from North Berwick station he gave us a great introduction after which we set off.The van is well equipped with everything you will need for your holiday: crockery, basic kitchen stuff, camping chairs, gas hob and fridge and running water.We thoroughly enjoyed driving around in the van on the long and winding roads of the Scottish Highlands and spending the night on beautiful locations with stunning views.Anyone who is looking for a well looked after van that will make you and other people smile when they see it to travel through the nature of Scotland shouldn't look further and rent it from Ian.

We had a fantastic 5 nights with Monty visiting Inverness via Pitlochry and Glencoe. He was loaded up with everything we needed for our trip, and the initial handover was very smooth - Ian made sure we knew how everything worked inside the van (including how to drive!) before setting off. We got lots of attention on the road and at campsites and would definitely do it all over again!

We explored Scotland for 11 days with Tilly in July (for me it was a reunion after 4 years).Ian picked us up at the train station and after an introduction and a trial round we were off to our journey. In our opinion, there is no more beautiful way to enjoy the great landscapes of Scotland. Our tour took us all the way up to the Outer Hebrides and Tilly was our picture perfect and reliable companion.Thank you for that, Ian, we look forward to next time!

We LOVED our road trip in Horace. We took him to see some family and friends in Perthshire before heading over to Mull and back via Argyll. Ian was great and made sure we knew how to drive him, and was very accommodating with times etc. We got a lot of attention as we travelled around and he was the star of the show being photographed in Glen Etive! Thoroughly recommend Classic Campervans Scotland, great value and the van was in excellent condition.
