I am most impressed with the Academy and is a fantastic opportunity for my child. My child is happy here and is excelling better that he was at his old school, plus he has an opportunity to gain a qualification in engineering which is a career that he wants to pursue. The staff are brilliant and the Head Teacher is very passionate about his school and his students that is plain to see!! I am really pleased with his learning especially everyday life skills like finance etc. this teaches my child what the real world is about. We are happy that my child attends here and he is too.

Regret moving my child to this school and wouldn’t encourage others to. This school had. their first ever year 9 class in 2019 who had the most rough journey up to gcse due to covid yet the school still treat them bad. For the schools first ever year 9 class you would think they would treat them better, but no, they couldn’t even plan for them a simple prom, instead they leave students in charge to do something last minute. This school does not care about their students and are too strict on them when unnecessary. I remember my child telling me when they first joined how the school would tell them to go back to their old school after any minor inconvenience, should’ve took the offer.

Really bad college do not send any child here. Just because it has aston university in their name DOES NOT MEAN it’s as good, teachers are unfair and mean.

Excellent school with great facilities and kind and supporting staff. Since joining the academy i have always felt nothing but comfortable and the level of extra support they give is incredible. I have excelled numerous lessons and hit above targets with the support my teachers give. I cannot reccomend my academy enough!

Good teaching staff with excellent facilities, this school really helped bring my grade up from E/D to B's in my gcse. In my A levels I immediately struggled in my transition but the teaching staff helped me so much the I feel like I'm going to be doing good. The only downside is that I wish there were more/better trips because I don't like the trip to a beach.

What a hopeless College, absolutely no communication from Teachers but they are happy to inform you when your child is not performing. A complete waste of a year's education, then they gave us apprenticeships to apply for which were over 50 miles away!!! USELESS PLACE.

This school is excellent. We moved our child to this school in year10 from a private school where he was (a) being bullied (b) not being well taught. Aston University Engineering Academy has been a revelation. Our child feels safe at the school, has developed a very supportive friendship group, is growing as a person and no longer retreating into a shell. His learning, which went backwards at the previous school, has flourished and he has become an assiduous student, taking rsponsibility for his own learning. He now excels in some areas that we never thought he would get to grips with. The school provides clear information and advice, is exceptionally well run and everyone knows where they stand. During this turbulent time, with the virus, cancellation of exams etc, the Head has worked tirelessly with his team to keep parents and children updated. The head is very proactive and is well respected by the pupils. This is a total contrast to the previous school. I would encourage anyone thinking about AUEA to not hesitate.

1 star because I was bullied very bad in that college. My whole 2 years experience in that college is full of bad memories. I was even hit hard by a Somalian boy but he wasn’t punished for it or anything. The principal Mr tubb didn't believe me. 95% students were rebellious and bullies. This is a school for outcasts. Wouldn’t recommend it for anyone especially girls.

After listening to an extremely persuasive open evening and having heard a few good comments on the academy from students already there, I decided to enroll my child. Not only did they promise a good education, with many great and unique opportunities for my child to experience but also a sense of respect that my child would be treated as an adult in a working environment"
