Stainburn | Forestry England | Come and visit this forest of two halves just west of Harrogate. The coniferous canopy of Stainburn Forest provides the perfect setting for your outdoor adventure. For the keen mountain bikers, park at the Norwood Edge Car Park for access to a selection of short, yet rewarding trails that will challenge even the best riders! The trails are maintained by SingletrAction volunteer group in conjunction with Forestry England. If you want to explore the forest at a more relaxed pace, the Stainburn Moor Car Park offers a range of paths for you to stretch your legs and take in the peace of the surroundings.

All free parking around the edges. Nice enough for a short walk, or easy ride. The bike trails are poorly maintained and there's only about 4 miles of official trail. Unofficial trails cut in to the north side of the road are short and again poorly maintained.Disappointed to be honest.

Great little trail park, rocky, technical, not for the inexperienced. Free car park, (signage and some parts of the trail could do with updating) + there's some fun off piste stuff over the road that is easy to find that can add a bit more distance to this short trail centre.

Lovely place for a quiet peaceful walk. Plenty of parking. Visited for an evening walk and if you walk to the edge of the forest and continue, there are some amazing views. Theres is also another car park on the back Otley Road which is predominantly used by cyclists and mountain bikers to follow a range of trails.

Fleeting visit by me, as it's not really a place for a walk. Tailor made for cyclists, so they're naturally the priority, rather than folk who want to stroll in nature. Free to park. Tons of cyclists on all the approach roads, so drive cautiously with this in mind.

Not an average sanctioned trail, an awesome technical set of trails where anyone can have fun no matter what your riding level is.SingletrAction have done amazing work here and should be proud of it!

I've been pedaling here since I was a kid back in the 90's. The trail has aged really well. Always a challenge and that's why I love it. Tight lines, technical as hell and a real test of anyone's skills. Lucky to have this a short drive away and hats off to those who developed this trail. A hidden gem and great to see it still in action. Teaching my kids on now on there is full circle, a steep learning curve (myself included!) Bravo Stainburn!!!

For the right person it's probably good but I personally didn't like it. Well overgrown at the moment on the red. The black is too rocky and technical to me. It's just my personal view. If you like that sort of trail go for it coz you will probably like it.
