Pen Ponds Café
Great spot for a coffee and making friends with the locals. Go midweek to avoid queues as it’s very popular at weekends, especially when the sun is shining. Or go when it’s raining like I do!

Lovely setting, but service has always been a bit of a disappointment. Staff seem loathed to be there. If you after the best toasted sandwiches - heads to the Isabella Plantation Cafe instead.

Its actually a kiosk, not a cafe, so there is no covered seating. The bacon bap is simply to die for. And the latte is very good.

Visited Sunday late morning. Organisational chaos, long queues, spilt drinks, missed orders and rude staff with no interest in the customer at all.To crown it, the dogs water bowl was passed over the service counter and filled at the food counter by the person preparing the hot food.

Good bap (sausages and bacon),It's a nice spot to see the deersI just didn't like that the dip sauces where outside under the sun. It's a dangerous hazard for people health. It should be rectified.

Stopped for a cola & water, airport prices and had to drink fast as the bins were overflowing resulting in wasps everywhere. No tap water or fountain for walkers, dogs or cyclists in a weekend of 34°C; just an idea

New café built by parks and only just opened next to Pen Ponds car park. One particular member of staff there is excellent - standout personality and customer service. Much better than the miserable staff in the Roehampton Gate branch of the same café

Lovely new kiosk and more refreshments on offer than previously, but quite pricey. Super bacon baps, but the coffee is a lot weaker than previously. Staff could be friendlier.

Visited Pen Ponds Cafe, nestled amidst the serene Richmond Park. It's a quaint spot, with a kiosk setup and a few open tables. The menu, although limited, felt a tad pricey for the options available. Yet, the Bacon Bap was a tasty delight - a savory treat after a long walk. The place was bustling, a bit crowded with people sharing tables, but the ambiance remained inviting. Being amidst the park's beauty made the experience better. The staff were super friendly, adding warmth to the overall experience. In summary, despite the limited menu and slightly higher prices, the pleasant atmosphere and delicious Bacon Bap make it a decent spot to unwind after a stroll in Richmond Park.
