Great service by all the ladies, lots of choice and always well stocked. Love the cream cakes and the famous pork pie which is a Christmas time must. However all the products are at a high quality so you do have to pay more for this but it's worth it for a treat. Birds is apart of the locals history I must add always remember my mum buying the lunch meat so nice.

Great service, friendly staff perfect produce, very clean environment, can't fault Birds! A delightful treat any day of the week. Yummy!!Must say about a couple of the comments posted though, if you want something specific, order it, they are very accommodating at all the shops, and for the person who said taste etc. gone down since covid, i suggest you might want to see a doctor the produce hasn't changed!, maybe you have long covid. Birds products are still ace!

Birds is by far the best bakery in the land. Fresh pastries, sandwiches and hot food. But everyone goes in for their cakes, from far and wide. Our weekly treat us always a birds cakes. Helpful, friendly staff too.

Nice food just a shame about the rude miserable staff.The young girl Nicole I think her name is has a real attitude problem and brings the mood of the whole place down with her. Talks to her staff like they're dirt on the floor and that's infront of customers, only wonder how she speaks to them behind closed doors! Wouldn't hurt to smile or at least say 'hi' to a customer when serving them! No manners and sighing at customers.Rude staff with no respect. Birds management needs to address this!

Had a very specific lunch order for a directors visit at work and both the assistant and store manager were a massive help, very accommodating and did a great job with the order. Much appreciated, will certainly be using you next time Thank you

i ordered a caramel doughnut as well as other things, the caramel on top was rock solid and tasted awful. it tasted like it had been on the shelf for ages. normally birds is very nice but this time it wasn’t. there is also a very rude woman that works there she has black hair and wears glasses think her names Lisa she is always very rude towards me and i feel as though birds would be a better place without her

We went in for a sausage cob (with apple sauce and stuffing) and hot drink, and the food was excellent as usual. Unfortunately, the hot drinks machine had broken down, but one of the many lovely Birds staff members made us hot drinks using their kettle and it was perfect! Can't fault the service, especially considering the faulty equipment. Birds is still the best bakery in Derby, in my humble opinion.
