Loved the walks around Longshaw, what a view from the café and just a short way down a slope from the car park, which draws you in to want to explore further! The lake was pretty and lots of nooks & crannies along the wobbly path for the kids to dart in and out, having fun between the trees and enjoying the Easter trail. The cafe was fantastic and lots of options available for the family, a nice little family corner with books at the end. Staff were lovely and friendly, a great day had.

Great place for a leisurely family walk and some casual landscape photography, cafe was awesome as well, one of the cleanest loos I've ever used! Loved the book shed and dipping into the hidden mini waterfalls.

Longshaw at it's very best today! The frosty walk, splendid bright skies, panoramic views all contributed to our refreshing morning. Then the café served splendid coffee and variety of lovely pastries. Very pleasant staff and great map tables to study the area while drinking our coffee. Finally our visit to the best charity bookshop for miles around. It's full of quality books arranged so clearly and easy to choose two more books and easy to pay by card in the welcome centre nearby.A perfect morning at possibly the best NT property in the country.

Such a great place! So many walks can be done from here like padley gorge or stanage edge etc or just small walks with conditions that don't require hikers to have all the gear as there are areas that have great pathways. There are cafe and toilet facilities.

A lovely place to visit free parking if you are a member (£5-7 if not) and lots of great short and longer walks plus a big cafe and clean toilets. Highly recommend the long (14KM) walk along White edge and back along Froggatt edge and Padley Gorge followed by a visit to the lovely Fox House Pub just up the road!
