I desperately was looking for. Last minute wedding dress alterations. Literally the week before. They were the only company in the area willing to help. The seamstress is fantastic and I couldn’t even tell where the alterations were made. Only negative was that it cost me £180. But what a great job.

Shocking level of service for such a small job. Only wanted a 6 inch zip changed on a rucksack, told to collect in a week, turned up to find they had not even started the job due to them “waiting on the zip”, strange as they then offered to have done that afternoon or in 2 days ! Went back after 10 days as on holiday to discover job still hadn’t been done and the person was now on holiday! I’m just thankful this was a tester as have daughters weddings coming up next year and always use local services, not a chance of this place getting the alteration jobs. Be warned !

Sorry l could not recommend for sewing or their washing/ironing service. I’m still waiting for them to replace 2 shirts after they were dyed (this was a year ago and last time l used them) The answer to why they put the whites in with the darks - because there wasn’t a full load of whites. Couldn’t believe it. The ironing service - work shirts were folded and not put onto a hanger. I have also used their sewing service - not the worst but nothing was ever very well fitted. No time spent to ensure they did the right thing and never felt they were actually that bothered. I dont like giving bad reviews to local businesses but l think after waiting a year to replace these shirts and never receiving them I thought a review to warn people was probably appropriate. I have never used them again and would never again.

I took my wedding dress to be altered. The team could not have been more helpful. They listened to what I wanted and they advised with their skills set.Friendly service and a lovely atmosphere...brilliant and highly recommended. Absolute shambles!!! So much so My bridesmaid dresses have had to be taken elsewhere to be rectified! I find it absolutely appauling that Di (seamstress)found it appropriate to leave loose material inside the dresses causing the zips to catch and be unable to pull up. The straps on the dresses being pulled too tight in turn strangling the bridesmaids and also the straps not marrying up which taken the look away from the dresses. Hem not being rectified on the dresses creating a 5 and half inch train!!! 2 weeks to the wedding and now my dresses are being carted around to rectify the problems which should have been fixed first time around!!! Avoid at all costs

Excellent dressmaker been here a couple of times and couldn't rate them high enough took a dress to someone In east Calder who charged me over £80 and I still couldn't wear the dress till I brought it here charged half the price for an excellent job

Recently moved to the area and needed a couple of alterations done. The shop is on the corner of a quiet street with great parking. The ladies were extremely friendly and helpful. My items were altered perfectly and the price was very reasonable. Mentioned that I’m needing curtains made and Diane the owner is going to pop by and measure up my windows. What a lucky find this shop has been!
