The Tron
A nice pub with decent food. The Tron is very well located a few meters off The Royal Mile, near South Bridge. The pub is not much to look at from the outside, but actually once inside you can reach the lower floors, where there are TVs for watching sports events. The Tron has a decent menu, consisting of the usual fare such as pizzas, burgers and wraps, but also Steak pies, curries and fish and chips. The food is good quality for a reasonable price, especially for Edinburgh. The Tron does get quite busy so book ahead. The staff were friendly and helpful. The Tron also has a children's menu, and children are allowed in until 9pm, as long as everyone in the party is eating.

Nice enough bar that we’ve stopped into a few times before seeing a show at the monkey barrel across the road.There’s an upstairs and downstairs, typically the upstairs section is closed unless it gets busy at which point it’s opened up.Upstairs tends to be a bit more chilled out. Downstairs is the busier area. Lots of drink options and they also have a very good looking food menu, although I haven’t tried it.Most recent trip was on a sweltering day but the upstairs bar was lovely and cool.

Decent food, a bit dark if you're sat downstairs but the atmosphere is good! Recommend for a nice, fair priced place to eat right in the middle of Edinburgh

The drinks were great, the prices were great particularly the student deals. The atmosphere was brilliant. There was a rather interesting damp smell in the back corner where we were seated and it was particularly dark back there but other than that overall a great time.

Stumbled upon the Tron & so grateful we did! Lovely place with a downstairs that's quite atmospheric and has a lovely vibe. Large screen playing sports - wasn't of interest to us -but attracted a number of punters - despite the sports focus it wasn't rowdy and didn't feel at all intimidating or unwelcoming for a lunch time meal for 2 females. Staff were great - friendly & helpful. Finally food was really great - better than the normal pub fair of an equal price - really great value. We enjoyed it so much we went back the next day (which we never do). Great value food & can't recommend it enough!! I'd love to visit on an evening as I think it would be buzzing. Thanks for 2 great meals.

Great venue, I enjoy their diverse range of performances, including plays, comedy shows, music events, and more. It has gained a reputation for showcasing emerging talents in the arts and entertainment industry.I like the unique architecture and cozy setting that spiced up my overall experience. Additionally, the food and drinks are lovely and affordable.

£7 lunch deal go for anything but the panini/ flatbread options as they are mostly bread (maybe Mac n cheese, don’t see how that could be bad). Tapas are great. Super nice bar tender

Went in just after midday. Very quiet which was nice and good atmosphere. Music a little loud but manageable.Nice menu with selection of classic pub grub. The ham and cheese panini was delicious and the woman who served me was funny and kind.There’s also a list of the beers they serve in the pictures.Toilets a bit of a trek and it’s a bit of a maze but they’re really clean and don’t have that standard underground Edinburgh toilet smell. Really chill vibe and I imagine it can get a bit wild later on. Decent prices as well.

Comimos delicioso, la hamburguesa es increíble, el fish and chips mucho mejor que en otros lugares más caros. Sus paquetes de comida son muy buenos ya que incluyen cerveza Guinness. La música estaba increíble y fueron muy amables. Seguro volveré
