Yard: Stone walling, lime mortar, bespoke extension builds

Great Stonemasonry. Nicko rebuilt, repointed, repaired and replaced large sections of retaining wall on our hillside property. He has great skill, his work is of the highest standard and he’s also a lovely person. We were very impressed with his work and attention to detail. We stumbled upon his work when walking through a Woodland Trust property nearby and judging by the struggles that he had overcome we knew he’d be the right person for our job. His work is ‘too notch’, he does what he says and he takes his time to finish the job properly. We’d definitely use him again and would recommend to others. We are hoping he will do our garage extension too...

Nicko did a great job repairing the front of our Victorian house. It had a rendering that was causing damp and he removed it all and repaired the bath stone on the bay windows. He also repointed the problematic areas, installed a new fascia/soffit as the old one was rotten under the rendering and even hanged our flower basket back up.He was quick at quoting, very good at communicating throughout the job, and everything was very tidy at the end of the day (even though the job was extremely messy) and very reliable that is exactly what you look for when booking a tradesperson. I will definitely be using yard when I managed to save enough to build an extension!

Nicko cleaned and repaired our bathstone and repointed all the pennant stone. We had a few unexpected additions that needed repairing but Nicko always kept us in the loop by checking and quoting appropriately before carrying out any extra works. Nicko is really friendly, polite and kept his work to a high standard and within the time frame he quoted. We are very happy with the finished outcome. I would highly recommend Nicko.
