A great parking place if you want to enjoy the views from the Long Mynd and don't want to/can't make a walk to the top. We did a lovely little 2.5 mile walk, which was relatively flat over the top. Amazing views and pony's. Well worth a trip.

Perfect to launch an assault on Long Mynd range of hills. Plenty of sheep and occasional wild horses. Beautiful place with outstanding views with the right weather

We parked at the free car park at Shooting Box to watch the sun set. Fantastic views, a stunning location on Long Mynd.

Epic views over much of Shropshire and beyond from the top and easy walking on top. Amazing walk following stream down to Little Stretton via Boiling Well and Ashes Hollow then back up again through Church Stretton and Townbrook Valley.

What a stunning locationParked at Shooting Box, walked to Pole Bank, which takes about 12 minutes but totally worth it, the views are breathtaking.Watched the sun set back at Shooting Box, another beautiful experience.It’s obvious why it has dark skies designation.The road is single track with passing places, but steep sides, so if you don’t like heights, keep that in mind, but don’t let it put you off.

A superb free car park at the centre of many walks across and around the Long Mynd. No facilities, just a plain vanilla car park. Leave it how you find it.
