I had a cut and blow-dry with Chloe, she was excellent and very friendly. All the staff seem lovely and the prices are very reasonable. I'll definitely be going back.

Awful, avoid - long, but worth the read.I don’t usually write reviews, but my experience of Salon Eight in general, and in particular with the stylist Chloe, was pretty bad. I had booked of Treatwell, which has some positive reviews and based on that, I decided to book with this salon as my usual was quite booked up, but big mistake. I went in which half my hair already bleached blonde (from bottom up to the middle section) and when Chloe asked me what I was after, I presented her with an image of the hair look I wanted, this included the colour (which was basically a balayage of the blonde highlights running further up but keeping all of the blonde tips intact, as they were), she looked at this image numerous times throughout, and so did the salon manager and owner, Nick. They both conferred that they understood the look I was after.So, my hair turned out looking nothing like what I was after and as I had left with it curled, it was difficult to tell how it’d really turned out. I went home, washed and styled it myself and noticed what an awful mess it really was, the highlights were of different shades, the front which framed my face was completely different to the back, and it makes sense as Chloe didn’t add the toner to the front section. I called the salon to tell them about this, Chloe answered and said ‘Well I did tell you it might not turn out the way you want it’ – and this is a classic line she’ll use to back herself for mistakes she makes, so look out for this if you dare to book with them. I asked for an appointment which she refused to give and told me to just come in at any time so they can have a look – but that they won’t fix it on this visit, which meant having to take time off work on two additional occasions. I went in, spoke to Nick and explained the situation, showed him the picture and he nodded to agree that the look wasn’t quite right, and booked me in the next day to ‘fix’ it. I went back in, spoke with Chloe and explained what the problem was, and she outright called me a liar – and this is the reason I am writing this review. To stand there and blatantly lie that ‘this isn’t the picture you showed me’ was disgusting, she barked at me and raised her voice in the middle of the salon whilst other customers were there. What made it worse, was that Nick was standing a few steps away, heard it all, and said nothing. He knew I was right, he knew that picture was the same one I had come in with a few days ago, I mean why would any customer possibly show a different picture a couple days later when they’ve gone in with the intention of a particular look and paid £126 for it is beyond me, but Chloe is unprofessional, has zero customer service skills and doesn’t quite know how to do hair. Had she of admitted her mistake, and apologised, I wouldn’t have written this review.The salon also follows zero COVID regulations, so if you’re anxious about this, I wouldn’t even bother going there. Overall, an awful experience, totally unprofessional, rude and I am now left with a hair colour and style that I didn’t want – they’ve 'fixed' their own error, but this left me with now having to wait a good few months for my hair to grow out enough, to then have another 2-3 sessions of bleaching my roots before I can achieve a look close to what I was after, leaving me with additional costs to fork out for, and no compensation offered whatsoever! Appaling.

First time here - booked in with Chloe. Easy to find the salon and easy to book via Treatwell. Staff were friendly and treatment was done relatively quickly. I had a full head tint with a cut and blow dry, really pleased with the results. Would be nice to have music on in the background. Would recommend a visit.

Whether I'm visiting for highlights, a root tint, a cut or just a blow-dry I always leave the salon with beautiful hair done by Chloe. Have been coming here for a couple of years now and wouldn't go anywhere else!

I've been there already few times for a full head color, cut and blow dry. I always was happy with the results. It would be nice, if they'd offer some decent coffee/tea or water. However there's now a very good coffee shop just next door, so I always buy one there.

My mum booked an appointment for herself and for me. I have very curly hair and it has been hard having it brushed each day when it keeps going frizzy. . Chloe straightened my hair, cut it, conditioned it and left it to dry. I had no frizz, my curls were all lovely. I went to Sainsbury and a lady said what beautiful hair you have, it made me feel good. Chloe was so lovely to me, I enjoyed having my hair done by her.
