The gardens were opened up today. But it's not like some stuffy Antiques Roadshow event. It's fun and down to earth. It's more like a big garden party in the grounds of a big posh house. The Smith family have looked after it well. A man who started as market trader at Bilston market moved up and created Poundland. A selfmade man who is still down to earth. Even the White Barry White singer with the cane was amazing. I thought he was a stand up comedian at first until I realised he can't stand up.

Came to visit a very close friend who has just brought a property and I was amazed at the whole of the grounds... I didn't actually visit the hall but my friends property at the end of the drive to the hall.... WOW the views and walks around the area are just gorgeous

Wonderful house and beautiful gardens. If you get chance to go to the open day (only open one day a year), it's a must! A really lovely day with great stalls, food, a beer tent, entertainment and a talk from the current owner. Just wonderful.
