When asked about snap test for the cat I've been told to wait so they can find out what is it... when they finally said it can be done in their different surgery I was asked to wait again for availability and then wait some more to find out price...on the end lady started talking something about price for medications which I didn't mentioned so she needed reminding who I am I guess. Every time I asked question lady seemed to be annoyed.... Anyway the price was twice as much as at other vets. Not a very good experience.

Would not recommend this vet, very over priced for a very poor service. My experience wasn’t a pleasant one, I was desperate for help with my dogs allergies and it felt like we were going in circles having the same conversation over and over with a new vet. Understand that allergies are challenging but really felt Walton lodge cared more about how much money they can get from you than help treat your animal! After 2 cancellations by the vets for my dog spayed which lead to another season and phantom pregnancy, instead of carrying out a pre operation at 8.45am when I dropped her off, they carried this out at 1.00pm to then call me and advise that they can not proceed with the op due to lactating which is fine.. but the fact they kept my nervous dog in a kennel for 4 hours which was clearly distressing was unacceptable. The older lady on reception is also very miserable and clearly does not enjoy her job. Found her quite rude, I felt uncomfortable to ask any questions. Not the service you would expect for the money paid.In a nutshell would not recommend this place at all.

After reading the previous reviews I feel compelled to write my own. After trying several Veterinary practices in the area I have found Walton Lodge to be the best, not just for my dog but for the service I receive. The vets have always been professional and have given expert advice either face to face or over the phone. They were extremely helpful a couple of years ago when I was on holiday and they assisted my daughter in administering emergency treatment to my dog and by keeping me updated over the phone. My dog trusts their vets completely. He doesn't get pulled around as other Vets have done to him in the past, which has led to him growling at them! The surgery is exceptionally clean and tidy and doesn't stink like some practices. The receptionist is second to none. Nothing is too much trouble and she absolutely loves Dave. She is always very friendly and welcoming. I recommend everyone who asks to take their pets to Walton Lodge. Unless I was in another County with him, I wouldn't take him anywhere else!

Highly recommend this practice. Friendly, professional and highly experienced. We were seen quickly and received really good advice. The nervous and shy stray cat we have just adopted (with the RSPCA's good wishes) after nearly a year of supporting him, has multiple medical issues and was, to my relieved surprise, very calm under the vet's - Emma - very thorough examination. I couldn't fault Walton Lodge at all. Very clean. Well run. Great back up staff, Receptionist Jo was very hands on and great help to us, and the prices are very reasonable. We were not pushed into immediate and expensive treatment but we were gently guided into the best course for the animal. Brilliant, just brilliant. Thank you Walton Lodge. After a very negative experience with Kew Vets the RSPCA directed us to you and I am so grateful to have found you on behalf of our two cats. I would 100% recommend this practice unreservedly.

This practice is very much people and pet friendly. I have recently changed to this vet and I am very pleased with the informative and kind service afforded to myself and my little pooch

Worse experience of my life. STAY AWAY FROM THIS VETS. 4 months in and my cat still needs to get sorted. Receptionists response and service was appalling. Took my money and I'm still having to arrange the op with another vet after 4 months. Won't tell me how to cancel years direct debit and feel absolutely exhausted from trying to get anywhere. Poor poor animals people are awful.

Not good vets. Missed my cat's grade 3 heart murmur during routine health check, even though they listened to her heart. It was picked up 3 weeks later when we had to go to a different branch for the second vaccination. Grade 3 is not the quietest grade. The appointments were 3 weeks apart... My cat definitely had it at the first appointment. We are being referred to the RVC.Not the first time I've heard a story like this for Harlow Walton Lodge either, a close friend took her cat there a couple of years ago and they raised concerns of a tumour so she took her cat to the Hoddesdon branch for the scan and was informed the 'lump' was actually her cat's normal kidney! I will not be going back to the Harlow branch, my cat deserves better. We were lucky we had to go elsewhere for the second vaccination or her heart condition would have been missed for at least another year. Concerning.
