Pets at Home

(New Didcot store) The last two visits I have had different servers at the till. On both occasions I’ve had my dog on the lead and requested a bag whilst at the till for all the items I have bought. Both occasions the server has placed the plastic bag on top of my items and watched me struggle with one and a half hands to fill the bag and hold my dog that is trying to pull me to meet people. Is it a store policy not to help people? I find the staff at this store robotic compared to all others we have been. Normally you get they love animals in these stores but this lot just wanted a job and don’t seem to be very excited to see pets being brought in to shop.

Visited pets at home Didcot second visit went just after they opened then the store was well stocked, today 11/ 11 went back to get just cat litter had to walk entire store to find out no ultra cat litter, if you have a dog great !! Nothing in this store for cats as always a very small selection of cat food and toys everything else is dog related, was told there is a delivery tomorrow or I could order some ? Think I not bother going to this store or Abingdon again unless I get a dog !! Have since found out Tescos do an equally good litter at half the price and the cat treats are cheaper too !! Would have happily bought from pets at home but due to the poor stock on cat stuff will stick to Tescos just across the carpark and save some money !

A big thank to you Megan who helped us when we brought our 2 rats. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Gave both the girls a little health check explaining what to look for ensure they are kept in good health. We left (with Luna and Bella) feeling fully confident we had everything they needed. Thanks Megan, fantastic customer service.

Awesome pet shop brought a pet from there was very happy with the service I received ten out of ten for customer service much better than Abingdon shop the staff seem to care unlike the other shop

Dog came back shaking, even days after she wouldn’t come near us since we left her there. Her hair cut was all choppy… had random long bits and unusually short bits. Her ears came back cut uneven, her whiskers have been cut, and worst of all you could see her skin bc of how short they cut her when we asked for her hair to be long-ish still (it’s cold season too). Staff were rude. Absolutely appalled and will never go back. Would’ve had more luck going to a nursery and letting them have rein free over her…
