Greenbelt
An absolutely appalling company, ripping off customers at will and charging them for services which aren't even provided. The fee I'm expected to cough up is now around £200 per year, yet all I've ever seen is grass being cut periodically. A guy turns up now and again to half heartedly spray the shrubs in front of my house. A few months ago I asked him if there was a plan to cut them back, tidy up the area and plant anything new to fill the areas of bare earth. He didn't say anything, just laughed and walked away. The itemised yearly bill includes astronomical costs for 'site inspections' and 'snagging'. I've a good mind to ask for dates, times and reports of what was 'inspected'/'snags' which have been identified addressed. In summary, a disgusting and utterly vile lot.

If you are unfortunate enough to have Greenbelt written into your house sale be prepared for bad customer service, bad management, uncapped bills charged in advance before work is done plus extras done at will and added to the bill.Admin fees, site inspection visits, fly tipping charges, snagging? Usually done on a new build by the developer but these snagging charges go on year upon year for you to pay.Even though you pay council tax you can not access the same services as everyone else, you do not get a reduction because of this either. You have to pay extra, to Greenbelt. When you buy a house on an estate managed by a maintenance company like Greenbelt sometimes you are told about it and sometimes you aren’t. Developers don’t seem to be good at getting this point across when buying from them, if they do mention it they play it down as a nominal fee and not worth worrying about.Greenbelt charges are uncapped and unregulated.Basically they can do what they want without your agreement and charge you silly money. They will not provide evidence of any bills or purchases and often you do not see any evidence of site visits and alleged work. If you know nothing of Greenbelt when you buy your house you will find out when the bills land on your doorstep demanding payment. All you will hear from them is it’s not their fault your solicitor dealing with the sale didn’t do their job properly. My bills have been in dispute for about 4 years, they never respond and still charge late payment fees on disputed bills which they are not allowed to do. In fact they have no legal right to charge late payment fees, the bills are advance demands. My advice is to not pay, put your bills in dispute and put the money aside “just in case” and starve them of income. If everyone did this the service would stop and then they couldn’t charge for anything as it’s not being done. They don’t even do the work, they sun contract it out and then put their bit on top for profit.Hopefully the Government and MP’s will get around to looking into Greenbelt soon. Honestly its nothing but daylight robbery!

This company is the laziest money grabbing company I’ve ever had to deal with. They do very little for the fee we pay and when asked to do something very simple they refuse. I can’t go into detail as I’m preparing to take legal action against them. Look at your reviews Greenbelt they are all terrible! Does that not matter to you?Update. You replied to this review and said an Email had been sent. I have not received a reply to the most recent Email I sent to you. Or will I get one at 16.45 on Friday afternoon as usual just before you all leave the office for the weekend??

Factoring company responsible for the maintenance of our estates communal areas. Never resolve any concerns you have and constantly tell you that you misinterpreting the deeds when you quote them verbatim. All they do is cut grass in easily accessible areas and charge large admin fees to every one who has them as a burden in their title deeds. Constantly threaten residents with court action and bailiff letters for non payment even though they do not fulfill the commitments of their own contract. THINK TWICE BEFORE BUYING A PROPERTY THAT THEY HAVE THE MAINTENANCE CONTRACT FOR! Below are some recent photos of the weed control Greenbelt are doing!

Greenbelt are supposed to manage a site at Scone, Perth, they are sending bills to some houses and not others, people are not paying the bills as they have not done work in this area for the last eight years and the tree break is a total mess! Why they are only sending bills to some households ant not others is a mystery. I would award them no stars if I could!

Have been paying this company since 2007, have been asking them to maintain a willow tree at the rear of my property since 2012. Firstly they refused ownership, then eventually admitted their sister company owned the tree. This tree has blocked all sunlight in my garden and the roots have taken over my garden. If they dealt with this issue ages ago, it would be the problem it is now. They do not return calls or answer emails. I do not get any tangible value for money. But when you ask for assistance their correspondence is awful. If you can, avoid at all costs. If I could rate them zero I would.

one of the worst companies to deal with if you are buying a house and greenbelt is in the deeds walk away and if you are stuck with them don't even try contacting them it's like talking to a 3 year old( REPLAY TO BELLOW YOUR COMPANY DiD NO SUCH THING YOUS LEFT IT TO GROW BACK. THE ONLY THING YOUR COMPANY IS GOOD AT IS RIPPING PEOPLE OF

Thanks for ploughing up our grass today in Dunblane. Lovely job. Every house pays a £40 admin cost every year forever, does this recurring admin cost cover the ploughing? Or will this amazing work be all-inclusive in the monthly inspection we pay for that no-one has ever witnessed, even when the whole street worked from home for 1.5 years during Covid?

Steer clear of this company if they are a factor in any new build properties you are considering buying. Very little work done for the amount they charge each household. When you do contact them the staff are unhelpful and the problem not resolved. Our concerns over the safety of the park have still not been addressed after 6 years, the photos attached taken this week show that Greenbelt think this is a safe environment for our children FOR THE LAST SIX YEARS. Annual billing breakdown is vague, charging for quarterly inspections which I have never once witnessed in 9 years! Price rises year on year outwith conditions. They don't even deserve one star!

I’ve lived on an estate ‘managed’ by Greenbelt for 14 years. In that time, the bill has increased from £111 a month to £407. For this we get sporadic visits involving a lot of sitting in vans playing on phones, leaf blowing the pavement and not much else. Fence panels left fallen for months and when they are replaced, new posts are not cemented in (so they fall down). However nothing apart from a yearly cut back of plants and the pointless leaf blowing of the pavement seems to fall within routine maintenance. Our last bill was a copy and paste of the 2021 bill but with an extra £235 added per household so they can’t even bill properly. They charge £40 for admin which they say includes the cost of their customer care line. We pay them for land management, not fund the answering of their phones.Their inaction to transfer accounts has caused two house sales on my estate to fall through. If you are reading this and considering buying a house with land management by Greenbelt - don’t do it.
