East Princes Street Gardens

We visited the Christmas market exceptionally busy. Great stalls good choice of food , drinks mulled wine and beer. Also rides etc for the children. Well worth a look.

It’s my first time to attend the Christmas Market in Edinburgh, and I’m soooo excited! The market is quite good and staffs are quite friendly there. I did enjoy the eye, and they even have a discount for students! The view from the eye is great! Also the food here is good as well thought it’s more expensive.

Beautiful green park. In the middle of the city centre. Surrounded by one of the most important Scottish and British monuments and buildings. Edinburgh Waverley train station is just outside the park. Good access to public transportation like local buses, tram, train, taxi and tourist city tour buses. Walkable distance to royal mile and castle

Well maintained gardens at the bottom of Scottish castle. Good to walk and rest. The only issue is people had thrown food on grass which meant there was a bit of garbage but otherwise it was good.

perfect location, clean, and such a beautiful place, you’ll get a good view of the castle too!

Really good spot to enjoy some walking or picnic with friends. Lots of people sit on the grass. Also some squirrels like to pop around sometimes. When the weather is nice, these gardens are worth a visit. Bye!

Lovely park, nice walk and loads of seating, a great view for landmarks in Edinburgh and a good meeting point for friends too. Love listening to the buskers whilst sat here.

Visited for the Christmas Market. Very nice when quiet in the morning but got very very busy by afternoon. Preferred the morning definelty but I'm unsure of how busy this place would be when there is no market there.

It is a wonderful park. Although it is small, it is enough to take a walk, enjoy a coffee, read a book or simply rest on the grass.The grass carpet is exceptional - the grass is very thick and short, incredibly clean and bright green in color as if drawn.There is a restaurant (currently closed) and a coffee shop in the park. The coffee shop has a few tables and chairs.In the middle is a stage and chairs in front of it, similar to a summer theater. Also along the street are few monuments as well as the Scott Monument.Many roses of different colors are planted, as well as other flowers. From the seats above the garden, you can admire the Edinburg Castle, the historical buildings in the area, as well as the Art Gallery.The garden is very well cared for and supervised, and it closes at 9 o'clock.
