My favourite shop in Winchester! I frequently shopped at their previous premises and loved it then and now they have a bigger place with space for a café/restaurant it's even better! Highly recommend for top quality local and European produce, excellent meals, and very friendly service!

Wonderful and attentive service that meant my wife and I could enjoy a delicious and packed cheese board! I am a coeliac, so I was guided through which cheeses were gluten-free and safe for me to eat, down to which rinds had gluten in them! Looking forward to coming back again :)

With an intolerance to both gluten and dairy it is not always easy to find good places that offer a wide choice. However, at the Basil Leaf Deli, that was not the case. A good range of options was made wider by offering to adapt ingredients.The food was excellent and prepared in an area specifically cleaned to prevent cross contamination.All of the staff were both helpful and attentive. Their polite manner made the whole experience even more welcoming. When in Winchester again, this Deli will certainly be where we head towards for our meal.

Such a great variety. Everything from cold meats and cheeses, amazing drinks and food from around the world. The staff are very knowledgeable and really look after you. The food served there is great tasting and value for money. We'll worth a visit.

Love it in here and the staff were all super helpful with finding vegan options. They’ll be coming out with a vegan menu as of tomorrow so will have to come back and try it!We got some snacks too from the grocery part of the shop, great for unusual finds.

A hidden gem in the city centre. We went to Winchester on Saturday and it was extremely busy and cold. My daughter was hungry and wanted to sit in the warm and get something to eat. After trying several places and they were full we saw Basil Leaf Deli and walked in expecting it to be too busy as well. The staff were really friendly and found us a table straight away. I had the vegan burger and it was full of flavour. Am amazed it wasn't packed given how busy everywhere was. The staff were amazing, the food was good would definitely try here before the chains in future.

Brilliant service, atmosphere and food for a reasonable price. We were seated and served by Viola and Kuba, both of whom were attentive, patient and generally amazing, seeming genuinely excited to serve us despite our party of seven at a busy lunch hour, going as far as to add chairs to a table so we wouldn't have to split up. As a coeliac I was catered for and servers were happy to explain what they were doing to ensure my food was uncontaminated. Overall brilliance in all factors, 14/10 a must visit
