My favourite place to eat in Surbiton! The staff are so friendly, and we’ve always had wonderful service. My favourites for a weeknight comfort meal are the kitsune udon, and the fried chicken curry udon. I also love the takoyaki and chicken karaage, both of which are so full of flavour and taste hot and fresh.For a special dinner, the sushi boat is incredible - such a huge variety of different sushi, presented well, and amazing value when you’re eating as a couple or in a group. Comes so quickly, with salads and miso soup. To finish off, drinks like sake and plum wine are reasonably priced.A real gem in Surbiton, with unpretentious and relaxed interior. Speedy service when dining in, and food still tastes fresh when delivered to nearby.

We went to the Boat with our son and wife, who had recommended it. Very pleased they did, as the food was very tasty and service was very good. We will definitely be going back.

Visited for the first time after it came highly recommended as authentic Japanese food. Whilst the food we ordered was tasty, we were slightly disappointed. I expected the ramen broth to be more flavoursome and rich, but it was quite bland. The ramen was nice but I wouldn't say it had an authentic Japanese flavour.However, the Avocado maki and Japanese chicken were very nice.

Me and my partner have been regularly coming into Boat for our days when we don’t feel like cooking or just fancy something to eat.As an individual from Hong Kong the sushi here is nice and fresh, every time we visit the service was fantastic.Highly recommend to visit, even better on quieter nights you can enjoy the peacefulness of just your own.

Great food and prompt service.We ordered a takeaway today which was excellent. The prawn udon was tasty, although a little short on prawns however the sushi set was great especially the crispy California rolls.Certainly a place we will go back to.

I don't just want to eat and review at a restaurant; on the contrary, the employees are incredibly rude. Yes, I understand that everyone gets stressed every day, but telling a driver to wait outside in the rain instead of waiting inside can't be considered polite at all. On the contrary, it's an incredibly rude gesture. Everything in life isn't just about money or eating; you're incredibly rude

I have been going to boat for nearly a year, being in a long distance relationship, every time my partner comes to visit we go have lunch at boat once or twice, food is so amazing we’ve made it our little tradition to go every month, I could not recommend it more, amazing people and incredible food!!
