Although I haven't taken up the quote at present however nearly half the price of another local cleaning company. However the lady who came was wonderful polite friendly and explained it all in detail.

Used this company and met the delightful lady. I paid the initial deposit and job started, before the full completion of the job, they have taken the final payment from my card without my authorisation. I was not even satisfied with the job and needed them to come back to do some bits and pieces. I queried why they took the final payment without my authorisation, i was told that i had already given my permission to do this when i paid the deposit! This was not the agreement and was not satisfied with the job carried out.

Area rep (Elizabeth) came round to give me a quote for a weekly domestic clean....she promised so much of the finer details I wasn’t even expecting (sparkling taps, shiny toasters, door knobs polished, finger prints off light switches....) I was just happy with a general polish/hoover/mop each week but was told the Molly Maid way was a much deeper clean than that and as such she would recommend only needing a fortnightly clean. I was shocked at the price of £72 for each clean (we have a 3-bed house, no pets) but I justified it in my head (and to my husband!) as £36 per week since they would only be coming once a fortnight, and that didn’t seem too bad. Then Elizabeth explained they would need to do an initial ‘deep’ clean to get started....at a cost of £96! Again, I justified this as not too bad considering she thought two cleaners would be in for around 4hrs each, moving furniture, and giving the whole house a deep clean throughout. Well.....I arrived home after this initial clean, with such high expectations of a sparkly home. Straight away I was faced with muddy footprints on my kitchen floor!!! They’d obviously mopped on the way out but gone back in with shoes on for some reason! Kitchen was anything but shiny....streaky chrome kettle/toaster, chrome sink had water marks everywhere. They’d attempted to wipe the fronts of the kitchen cupboards but again, this was left streaky. And this was just the first room I went into! Laminate floors looked smeary/grubby, basins cleaned inside but not outside/behind, bedroom carpet had lifted up in one corner (maybe from the hoover?!) and was just left, cobwebs missed, the list was endless. The icing on the cake was seeing the card left on the kitchen side to say today’s clean had been quality checked by the area rep (Elizabeth!) I got straight on the phone to her and she sounded shocked and gave excuses but promised to send round cleaners the following day to correct the issues. They did. But it still wasn’t great. Very disappointed and unsurprisingly we pulled out of continuing to a fortnightly clean. £96 lost and a home I needed to re-clean after they left! A bad case of over-promising and under-delivering at an extortionate price! Beware!

Where to start....Met with the delightful franchise and her 'second' several weeks ago to discuss a deep clean of my house.... we work long hours so this would be a treat and save me doing every weekend.... or so I thought.....I arranged for them to come in on the Friday and then a fortnightly clean thereafter... at c £66 (inc VAT) I had high expectations...... to be fair the first clean was fabulous and I was blown away, the house was beautiful, clean and fresh and I passed that feedback on to Elizabeth and to thank them for their hard work and looked forward to them saving me hard work and (essentially) time going forward.....Fast forward to the second clean.... (term used loosely) we arrived home from work on the Friday evening and I was grateful not to be faced with cleaning the house on my treasured day off.... well..... it was literally like someone had been in for 5 minutes, the kitchen floor was sticky, the walls had not been wiped (part of the service they brag about) my products in the bathroom and been bunched up together and no real signs of cleaning done ..... to add insult to injury, my husband found an empty bottle of 99p cleaning product left in our Sons bedroom (not the professional cleaning products they state they use)... I was incredibly disappointed and decided to speak to the Franchisee on Tuesday (due to BH) to raise my concerns and hopefully move forward..... she arranged to come round that day and address (I pointed out the coffee stain and she said would sort) I was happy with this and went about my work... around 4 pm I received a message that they had not had the time to come round and would do so the following day .... fair enough at least they were sorting..... Wednesday came and Molly Maid pitched up, flicked the hoover round and that was that (coffee stain left) and to be honest I couldn't find the energy to argue, (this lady is formidable to say the least) her invoice came in promptly (£66.00 inc VAT) and was paid (I did ask for the original team to clean on the next date required but received no response..... So Friday just passed I left the key out as usual and went off to work hoping that there would be no issues and happiness resumed.... came home.... no clean...no message...no nothing..... Obviously I was upset but thought I'd give her the benefit of the doubt and call on the Monday (today) to ask why....... SO THIS IS WHERE MOLLYMAIDS SHINE...... I called Elizabeth this morning to inquire as to why my house had not been cleaned.......ummm arrrr ummmm arrrr

Pictures taken after a supposed deep clean!I should have taken note of a 2.6 star rating on google but sadly didn't. Elizabeth came to our house, looked around and gave us a price quote, cleaners came out and it stated well and where very professional. Unfortunately it went downhill from there and became apparent in the price quote, that what was quoted was not actually included, the cleaners that where sent where unreliable and the final straw was the previous clean where I believe they created more dust than was there in the first place. Elizabeth throughout remained rude and her demeanour of forthrightness soon became apparent that it was pure arrogance and that she could not care less about the service she provided. Please stay as far away from this firm as possible.

Molly Maids came to the rescue after having a devastating experience with Daily Poppins....The Deep Clean was absolutely amazing instantly noticing the freshness and gleaming of taps when I returned home from workElizabeth and her girls Thank you so so much a fabulous experience.

Cleaning done very well and I would have given them 5 stars if it wasn’t for their hidden charges! I was happy with the initial estimate which I was given when Elizabeth came over my place. We also discussed a lot about defrosting the freezer but they forgot to mention that if you don’t do so, you will be charged £30! I decided not to defrost my freezer as I still had food inside, when the cleaning ladies arrived I mentioned them what I didn’t do and they again didn’t tell me anything about the extra charge. Elizabeth then called me to say that it’s written in the terms and conditions and I was charged £30 extra! I read the terms and conditions only after my conversation with Elizabeth and it’s not written anywhere!! Exceptional cleaning but terrible communication!
