It's eye watering how much the traditional Hornby models cost these days. Apart from that the gentleman running the shop was helpful and knowledgeable.We found 2 models for an 8 years old beginner.

Richard was a great help and a really nice guy to talk to about modelling and the scene in general.An excellent range of armour and sci-fi models! Brilliantly reasonable prices, and all you could want for making both models and dioramas!Would highly recommend visiting as this place seems to be slept on, despite being so good! :)

Would definitely recommend this store. Starting from scratch with a layout so was to being back to being a novice again after years out of the hobby. They were more than willing to help answer questions no matter how stupid they felt to ask.

I absolutely love good model shops, and this is a good one! They've just finished renovating some of the rooms and they've done a really good job of it. There's plenty of space and it's just a lovely environment in which to browse. There's a good range of stuff too - plenty of N gauge and OO/HO gauge railway kit including lots of accessories, lots of the usual Airfix and Revell kits, quite a lot of stuff by Hobby, and a good range of 1/35 military vehicles.There are all the extras you'd expect... Paints, glues, tools and so on.It's an echo of a bygone era almost... Visiting a good model shop and going home full of excitement about the kit you'd bought. This place recreates that.Highly recommended. Let's keep these shops open!
