This is such an efficient and professional service. I took in a dress which needed taking apart and putting back together again. Eva immediately knew what to do just from one look and in under two weeks I had a stunning dress. Every single detail had been paid attention to with an observant eye, it’s now an immaculate dress. Eva is also so lovely and kind and she made it a very smooth and comfortable experience. Thank you!

There needs to be a price list in the shop for basics! Each lady seems to give different quotes for the same work, which shows they make up the prices on the spot depending on the customer. I picked this up when I visited the store 30mins after my sister and the lady charged me more than double what she charged my sister for the exact same dress and exact same alterations. We are the same size even our measurements are 95% the same. There are some honest workers in the shop who actually give you the correct price, but there’s definitely workers who lie about the price and charge you more than you should be.

I collected a winter coat from Stitches today after having its front pockets repaired and was very impressed with the quality of their workmanship. They did exactly as I asked by adding double stitching to each of them, plus they did an excellent job of it. Their staff are polite and friendly, plus I thought the price they charged was very reasonable. It was the first time I had used the service, and it certainly won’t be my last.

The quality of the work is satisfactory, but the cost is on the higher side.Unfortunately, the customer service leaves much to be desired. It appears that unless you fit a certain high-end British image, you may not receive the same level of service.There have been instances where staff have engaged in conversations in their native language that seemed to involve comments about customers.A lady was asked if she wanted a bag for an additional 20 pence, while another customer received a bag for her clothes without any mention of an extra charge.It seems there might not be a standardized price list, and charges may be determined based on your appearance at the moment.I was initially hesitant to leave a review, but after reading other reviews, it appears that this treatment of customers is a common issue that should be taken into consideration.

Outstanding service and workmanship. More expensive than it used to be but their skills aren’t possessed by nearly as many as they used to be. Great job done with the seat of several pairs of shorts and trousers and tapering of trouser legs. The team members don’t seem to “oversell” either. I’ve found them to be quite cautious: “Are you sure about this change? This seems quite good as it is.” Highly recommended.

Their sewing are superb and professional. However, the communication between me and some ladies was disappointing. At first, they couldn't find my outfit, but eventually, they found it within 5 mins ish. Then I noticed a pin hole in my trousers, I pointed it out, and one lady wasn't happy with this (I don't know if it was with me or someone else). She brought it back, and it was fab. No hole at all. I was impressed.Every time I asked, they showed their frustration, and I felt uncomfortable. Their attitude needs to be improved with deaf customers. They haven't apologised at all. I'm not sure if I should return. One thing I was impressed with was their sewing skills. That's it.

Have been going to Stitches years. Everytime have been satisfied but they excelled themselves this week. Took a trench coat in because I had lost one of the sleeve straps. They made a replacement by taking material from another part of my coat where you wouldn't know unless you were told. Excellent service.

These ladies (and men if there are any!) are amazing. They are all so polite and friendly, their quality is excellent, I have had many items of clothing back to me within 24 hours if need be, and always for great and affordable prices!
