Mister Gee (Wakefield)

My experience was great, very welcoming and the haircut itself was amazing, did what I asked and the result were amazing and the advice by lady given was understandable and positive.

I've been getting my hair cut at Mister Gee's for over 20 years now and have always had excellent service, and an excellent haircut.The staff are friendly and approachable, and always happy to have a conversation to ensure they are going to cut your hair as you want, even if (like me) you're terrible at actually explaining how you want your hair cut!I've only ventured elsewhere when I have lived elsewhere over the years, and even then have always ended up deciding that it's worth making a trip back home to go to Mister Gee's after paying much higher prices for much poorer service elsewhere.A great place that I would thoroughly recommend to all.

Twice now have been to this barber and twice had problems with customer service. Repeatedly advising against my hair cut choice. Stated how they do not do beard fades, and how they cannot compete with Turkish barbers. On style and price.Other points to note..-misquoted on beard cut-found the owner very rude.Will not be returning, would recommend finding a Turkish barber you like if beard cut is on the agendaOr other barber altogether if not :):)

I took my 12 year old Grandson to Carole. Shes never met him before, hes partially deaf (as was born with one ear), is on the autism spectrum and suffers with hypersensitivity and fear of new places. She was absolutely fantastic, dealt with him as a normal kid, he loves his hair (which has never been known before) and we will definitely be back for a return visit!! Thank you Carole!!

Wonderful, experienced Barbers. The best in Wakefield. Great with children. Been taking my Son since he was a baby and he wouldn't want to go elsewhere. Although he did try somewhere else with his Dad and hated how they cut his hair. Carol and team are friendly, reliable and nothing is too much trouble.Brilliant at perming my boys hair.Thank you, see you all soon, Sarah & Jacob x

So as always carol did an amazing job on fixing my hair. Can never fault her always amazing at what she does. Been getting my hair cut in and off by carol 18years! Thank you my sweet xxx

Took my 2 year old for a haircut today..only his second hair cut so he's pretty nervous and clingy.Firstly we were told by the lady there we couldn't have him on my knee or distract him by watching a video...poor lad burst into tears so she agreed to have him sit on my knee, but told my wife to go sit down.At this point my little lad was in hysterics, and all the lady said was 'you're going to have to pin his arms down while I do this.' Needless to say we pulled our child out of there and won't be returning.I cannot believe anyone in their right minds would say that or even want to try continue to cut a childs hair when they're in such a state.

Went in last week and asked for a very simple hair cut, long on top and blended to the top, she TOLD me that’s not possible, and TOLD me I’d have to have an undercut, I asked her if she was shouting at me and she said no, she was extremely rude, I advised her the previous lady listened to my instructions and cut my hair how I requested, she TOLD me (no she didn’t, no she definitely didn’t) I replied well she did and to be honest the last time I came here I asked you specifically to not take any of the top, yet she did, like half an inch from 3 inch,I left very unhappy, so I gave it one more shot and this time I wasn’t taking the risk, at this point she was basically treating me like dirt on her shoe so I requested she take off my apron and I’ll leave,She said something along the terms of I’m the owner, I know what I’m talking about, this is my business and I know best!! All shouted at me whilst she had customers in the shop,She has a despicable attitude problem, with zero respect for her customers needs,Funnily enough I went to super cuts and she blended it perfectly!!WHAT A SURPRISEReplying to feedback,I stated grade one at the bottom and blended to the top, if somebody isn’t competent they should state this rather than becoming agitated to the point the customer feels humiliated and disrespected, nobody should be humiliated in front of others, especially in front of other customers, for requesting something out of their skill range,If it wasn’t possible I wouldn’t have had it done somewhere else.What I asked for wasn’t a complex cut, grade one at the bottom blended up to the top, very simple.
