It's a little off the beaten path, but it is certainly worth the visit. It's not as old as other buildings but is constructed to look older than it is. The owner used timber from a couple of old sail ships for the entrance way, one of them being the Duke of Wellington. It's free to visit, but there are donation boxes posted around the Kirk. I urge you to donate as it's for the upkeep of the building and surrounds.

Not religious in anyway. But I do love a church. It was so serene. If you get the chance whilst passing do visit. They work on donations can use money or a card. Please be honest and donate few people today didn't bother

Quaint little church with medieval architecture next to a loch. Beautiful ground to explore and to take things mindfully. Limited parking on its ground, or roadside parking across the road.

Great historical place. Very interesting building in and out. I feel very calm here myself. Great place to spend 30 mins and go further.

Impressive church. Looks like it was built in the middle ages when in fact it was built at the beginning of the XX century. Well worth a visit. Plenty of parking spaces. No tickets required.

Returning home to Glasgow from Oban and had seen a few picture online but actually visiting it does this place way more justice. Although the courtyard is still work in progress the rest is outstandingly beautiful. From every angle the building is beautiful and the views are amazing. Donations are accepted to help carry on the restoration. There is also a small tearoom on site in a separate building. I'm so glad we stopped.

This amazing church on the shore of Loch Awe built by Walter Douglas Campbell for his mum. There are all sorts of architectural styles here with a touch of Narnia in the mix. I particularly liked all the carved people, angels, animals and birds. This is a small parish church size building rather than a huge cathedral so you can easily walk round in half an hour. I recommend allowing more time though so you can explore every corner as there are lots of details to see both inside and out. There are notice boards on the way in explaining the fascinating history of the church and suggesti details to look for.You pay to visit by making a donation by cash or card. There are a few parking places outside and more across the road in a layby. Be careful as there can be a lot of traffic on this road as it's the main route to Oban. There is a cafe too which we didn't try, too busy looking round, maybe next time.St Conan's Kirk is definitely worth a visit. It's a beautiful, quirky building a wonderful setting.

Lovely church with great views over the loch. It’s free to enter though donations requested. It gives a little bit of history and good photo ops. There are several free car park spots though it’s not huge so imagine can get busy in summer. We were surprised the cafe was closed and no toilets on site (though nice inn down the road filled that gap).
