Ambassador Cruise Line

Smaller ships are quite a few years old, but they have been refurbished to excellent standards. Food onboard is wonderful and the entertainment team put on amazing shows. I particularly liked the enchanted garden and the vignettes performed in the botanical lounge on sea days.

Advertised as the cruise company where you can 'enjoy yourself'Well let me tell you....no chance! Tired, old ship. Poor food that's only available at selected, restricted times. Revolting all inclusive cocktails made with cheap local alcohol...not branded. Rubbish entertainment. Over priced excursions that don't live up to their description. As for the customer service...its appalling. Once they've sold you a cruise...there is none!If you want my advice book with another cruise company. They sell you the dream but deliver the nightmare!

Having Just returned from a week on Ambience to the Norwegian Fjords after our original cruise was cancelled, we took advantage of being offered a similar cruise a couple of weeks later which included some compensation for the inconvenience. We were a party of 5 and have had a wonderful week on board. Unfortunately there were a various people complaining whilst on board and I feel some wanted to gain compensation by doing so. It is understandable that a newly refitted ship will have some teething problems an yes first night some bars might have been understaffed. Air conditioning needing balancing in certain areas but all these issues and others were addressed by management and sorted. People were complaining there was not a gym but it was to be found on Level 2 opposite the Spa room. The variety of bars general atmosphere and live entertainment within these areas was exceptional as were the Staff in every quarter. The entertainment team were outstanding and all were extremely talented and professional. The choreography lighting , sound and productions were of the highest standard. I have been on several cruises and would like to thank every one on the Ambience for giving all our family a wonderful break and look forward to re booking with Ambassador a future cruise.

2 weeks on the ambience. Staff very friendly. Entertainment team were fab. Loved the shows. Food was okay, but if your a picky eater like me, I pretty much had the same stuff everyday. Beds were comfy. Room was cleaned every day. Kids Entertainment was good. Loved the watermelon mocktails.

So easy from my front door to being in my room in less than an hour. Done the Norway trip good food and entertainment and great staff .Only negative 3 of the 9 lifts not working and could be tough to get a seat in bourgh market. Back home within an hour would normally still be queuing at passport control at an airport!

Didn't actually make it on to the ship. Was travelling to the West Indies 6 weeks over Christmas and New Year. Ambassador cancelled 3 days before departure as swapped over trips from other ship that was in dry dock.No compensation offered. Refund in 14 days so unable to book anything else. Out of pocket to the tune of £1800 for expenses I'm unable to claim off the insurance for. Including single trip insurance for £500. Very angry. Absolute shambles and terrible decision and customer service.

Land of the Vikings cruise with rock n'roll and Motown theme.What a great week. Met some great people and had a lot of fun. MV Ambience at 70k tons or so is not massive by today's standards but she a lovely ship. 14 decks with the observatory lounge at the top, our haunt every night to the early hours. Great entertainment, better than I have experienced on much more expensive cruises. Food wise, I was also impressed, again beating cruise lines that charge a great deal more.Ambience caters for a more mature demographic but please don't let that put you off. There are great times to be had. You're not gonna find water parks and go kart tracks on this ship. She's not that kinda girl!You will find a warm welcome.I have to mention Gede, a bar waiter who was a good laugh, Jenetri and Shavani in the buffet were lovely and I enjoyed my brief chats with them. There were so many more lovely staff.Don't know if it was pure luck but my wife and I met some great people on this trip and would love to see them again on another cruise.We had an inside cabin, not great for us, too hot despite adjustments to the a/c. Bed very comfortable. TV didn't work but didn't bother us. Shower and loo better than many other ships we've been on.They have 2 lifts out of order at the rear of the ship. This was a bit of a nuisance and there seemed to be no sign of them being fixed.Ports visited. Gothenburg, Copenhagen, Aarhus ( favourite) and Kristiansand.

A proper cruise experience from the UK' s newest cruise company. The ship is an ole girl, but a proper ship, not like one of today's glass and steel monsters. The food is fabulous, the crew very polite and helpful, though they can get a little overstretched at busy times.Cabins are a little dated, but that is made up for with a spacious interior and plenty of storage space, as well as a fridge, tea, and coffee making facilities, and free to use safe.Update- I just finished my third cruise on Ambience, and she is as good as ever. What I noticed this time in particular was the general improvement in the condition of the ship, the paintwork and wood hand rails are now restored to a pristine condition. Mainly different staff this time, but the same high standards were the same throughout. Now, I am eyeing up my next cruise with Ambassador.

Boarded today, 6th Aug 2022 for cruise to Norway. Only been on a few hours and still in port but wow are we impressed, starting right at the car park and bag drop off ... excellent. Ship is lovely and lunch was great. Now 13th August and just docking back at Tilbury after a brilliant cruise. Great food, wonderful service and entertainment, and the Norway scenery is outstanding.
