Kingfisher Fishing Trips

Took a trip with John, and had an absolutely brilliant day.He tried multiple locations with different depths to get us over a variety of fish. Had Tope,Smooth Hound and Dog fish all of various sizes upto around the 8lb mark. Great skipper who was friendly and knowledgeable and would highly recommend his service.Overall a great day out with many laughs and will be booking again.

I went with this firm for a four hour trip several years ago, booked with them and was charged £35 (two of us) per person including bait. Got picked up at Fleetwood Beach, the weather was raining and blowing a gale, but we still went out. The boat was full, so we were told to fish from the bow, which had little protection from the rolling so we had to sit. We were given one pack of frozen bait which was utter rubbish, and we anchored about two hundred yards from the shore. We caught nothing, not even a bite,. Stay away from these they are not worth going with.

Poor trip. Captain was so miserable. Didn’t advise us on anything. Tried to have a laugh on the boat. As one of the lads was a bit sea sick. Said to the skipper I bet you’ve got some stories hey? Absolutely nothing. Poor experience. Hope it sinks

I had travelled many hours for a fishing trip. A waste of time and journey.A very bad service as the person had left us at one place and never bothered to take us elsewhere even after several requests. The boat was also very noisy and old.

We were told that pick up was 11 am, the boat arrived 10 minutes late. We were told that bait would be supplied, all that was available was frozen squid. The tackle supplied was far from acceptable as the rods were not only very old but all of them had multiple eyes missing. One person's rod had nothing between the reel and the tip eye. Several others were missing the tip eye. The fishing was far from great in the area we anchored (mainly dogfish) but, unlike other skippers, the lad in charge didn't try to find better fishing, he just sat in the cabin eating. We set off back to shore earlier than expected and even though the lad in charge slowed down considerably as we approached shore, we were still back on the beach at 14:45, which when added to the late pick up, effectively made the 4 hour fishing trip 25 minutes shorter than it should have been. I was informed by someone on the boat that the normal skipper was on holiday and the lad in charge on this day was his son but he did nothing to make anyone want to return and no doubt caused reputational damage to his dad's business.

Skippers a decent chap first one out to see if anyone needs help good laugh and caught some decent species few times we have been out with a few more booked.

What a rubbish journey,Waste of time,it was my bed experience. I would never recommend someone to go with this bout . It was a four hour trip .no fish, they guy keep us only one place , not helpful at all .
