Dislocated my knee. This was a 6 hour nightmare that’s normally 2 hour issue and a lot less traumatic. I was in the most pain I’d ever been in after the morphine wore out. I was asking for painkillers for 2 hours, crying in pain the whole time. They kept telling my partner they were coming. I overheard the doctor say to the nurses he had decide to not give me any until they were ready to put it back in place. He was informed by nurses my leg had now gone stiff (tensing from the pain), which would make it harder to put in. In the end all they had to do was give me paracetamol drip which helped a great deal and it’s annoying to know I didn’t have to suffer. Secondly, I was ignored the whole time. Nurses tried to roll my DENIM JEANS over my DISLOCATED KNEE, I kept trying to tell them I could lift bum up so they could pull them down but all 3 nurses ignored me and kept trying. My boyfriend recounted what I said and suddenly they stopped. This wasn’t the first time I was ignored. I’m thankful they sorted it in the end and that the ambulance were understanding of how frightening this was as I have never been moved whilst in that situation. But I feel their had been lasting damage both mental and physical all which could of been alleviated. I know if I was nearer home I wouldn’t have been put through this ordeal and feel for the people of Enfield if this is the level of health care professionalism especially when I have so much family in this area with health issues of their own and their own horror stories…

I visited A & E this morning as I had an abscess on my right shoulder. I have to say from when I arrived at 9.20am I was seen for assessment in one waiting room relatively quickly and then waited in main room to be seen as to what would be done. I only waited an hour to be seen in urgent care section and given a prescription for antibiotics. From receptionist taking my details, to the assessor and then Doctor, from there to pharmacy, I can honestly say I had a very positive and good visit. Staff were lovely and very efficient. Thank you for making my visit a great one!

It's common knowledge that the NHS is seriously underfunded but I found the service provided by this hospital when I visited A&E recently really brilliant. Everyone from receptionist to registrar was friendly, efficient and very helpful providing all the necessary information. A battery of tests was performed at the end of which I was promised that I would be invited to the cardiology unit within 2 weeks. Which is exactly what happened as someone rang me 3 days later and invited me to return to the hospital within days. Well done everybody.

Visited Children Emergency Area with our 1 year old and there was nobody at the reception. We were quite rudely told that we could either queue at the general A&E to register (loud and a massive waitlist) or wait for 15 min until somebody would show up, just to take our names. Definitely not what you want to hear when you go to a hospital with an emergency. On the bright side, after the initial incident we were attended quickly and the doctor was very polite.Only one parent per patient allowed in the waiting room, even if it's almost empty.

Spent a few hours here. At various departments. Good signposting to help you navigate this fairly big hospital. Staff were polite, very helpful. The televisions in the waiting rooms were a welcoming distraction, whilst waiting to be seen.

I visited the A&E department after a recommendation from 111 due to severe abdominal pain persisting for over 24 hours. Despite my hesitations about the known extended waiting times, the doctor assured me that necessary information would be communicated to A&E promptly.Upon arriving at 22:00, a nurse gathered general information and conducted blood tests around 23:00. Unfortunately, the subsequent assessment by a doctor occurred at 03:45, leaving me waiting for over 5 hours. During the assessment, the doctor seemed to overlook my records, repeating questions and displaying minimal attention. After a brief physical examination, she declared everything appeared normal. After expressing my ongoing pain, I was advised to wait for the blood test results, which took until 4:30. Concerned about the delay, I sought assistance from another doctor who confirmed my results were fine but struggled to locate the attending doctor.Eventually, I was informed that I needed further tests (scan and gastroscopy), but they couldn't be performed that day. This left me emotionally distressed as I awaited answers after 7 hours. The doctor could not provide a diagnosis and merely suggested painkillers. This experience raises concerns about the efficiency and communication within the healthcare system. I kindly request a thorough review of this incident to enhance the quality of care for future patients.

My family and I would like to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who works on the Emerald Ward and who looked after our much loved family member over the last month.  He was treated with kindness and caring at every step of the way and the professionalism of all staff was second to none.  Sadly Dad was too ill and did not survive but we will always be grateful for the care he received and the warmth we felt as a family each time we visited.  No matter how busy … staff always had time to talk to us.  Thank you also to the A&E staff when he was admitted.  Their caring was also exemplary.Christine, Tracy, Steven and Claudia

Almost 2 years have passed since I gave birth to my second child in this maternity hospital, but I still haven’t calmed down. For my first birth, I ended up in this hospital and I was satisfied with everything, upon discharge they recommended that I give the child a Vitamin K injection, they told me how important it is, etc., I said ok, we’ll do it. They did it and let us out calmly. For my second birth, I moved to the other side of London, but decided to give birth again in this hospital because I liked the first ones. But what did I encounter when I decided to refuse a vitamin K injection for my second child? They began to put enormous pressure on me, from the nurse to the doctors who were sent to me. They didn't let me check out. I explain that this is my decision, I have studied this issue and consider it unnecessary to do so. They began to threaten me, to the point that they would file a complaint against me with the guardianship authorities, and all this just because I refuse the injection. That is, to understand that if they decide that they will inject your child, you have no rights. The nurse who was an angel turned into someone unknown. As a new mother, such pressure was put on me that in the end I agreed. But this anger still doesn’t let me go. Who are you to deprive me of the right to inject my child and what not? After the injection, everyone turned into angels again and asked not to write complaints, but I was still ripe for this.. Draw your own conclusions..

I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to the exceptional staff at the day surgery. From the moment I arrived, every staff member I encountered was not only highly professional but also incredibly friendly and helpful. The care and attention provided by the nurses and doctors were beyond exceptional, and their efforts truly made a difference in ensuring my comfort. Thank you to the entire team for your dedication and for making my experience a positive one. Your kindness and expertise are deeply appreciated.

Had an emergency while visiting London. The staff here was superb in listening to my issue and I was given the tests and medication promptly, as I was on my way to the Stadium at the time. I thought I would let them know good job!!! Only 1 issue. The receptionist was pretty bad. Rude as heck. Maybe she was having a bad day? I don't know. Other than that I want to thank you guys for your excellent job.
